All Weather Tore for C7

All Weather Tore for C7
I live in Denver and I should have my C7 in the next 2 months (hopefully). I will get a second set of wheels for all weather tires during the winter. Can anyone on here recommend a good set of winter tires? I may go run flat since I would hate to have a flat tire and no way to change it.
It will be a DD in the spring through fall, but I wont drive it when there is snow on the road.

You can check the Tire Rack website.
Since the base C7 tires are same size as the base C6, there will be several choices. We have the Michelin A/S+ ZP runflats and are very happy with them.
If you never drive in snow, then most of the Michelin summer models seem to be useable in chilly weather if you exercise care. We've driven our PS2 ZP runflats down to freezing and did ok, just remember that you have lost a lot of grip.
Snow, especially in hilly terrain, is a whole 'nuther story.
ALL tires lose grip in cold weather, A/S or winter tires just don't lose as mujch.

I used Dunlop Wintersports on my 2006 GTO - it went better than my wife's MB E350 4Matic on all-season radials in the snow. They wear very well also. If you are going for a second set of wheels and tires, that's the way I would go.
I'm not sure, however, with the Vette that you've got enough ground clearance for more than a couple inches of snow. My winter plan is to use my Hyundai Santa Fe instead.

Geez, the OP has bigger ***** than I do. I'm pretty sure my car wouldn't make it up my driveway with a 1/2" of snow on it, and it's probably less than a 3 degree incline. Hell, even if there is no snow on the ground, rear grip becomes a problem for me at about 35º F.

Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position RFT Ultra High Performance All-Season are the tires I put on my car this year. I like them alot.
Grip is decent in cold, wet and dry. It did not snow yet, but I do not drive in snow. From what I have read, they do ok in snow.

2" of snow, 7 degree slope, no problem on Michelin A/S+ runflats.
It's all in the tires and tread depth. And a bit of luck.

At the NCM April Bash, Michelin committed to have a C7 winter tire before the weather requires it.

I was just reading somewhere, maybe in the AutoWeek article just released that Michelin recommended the standard tires only be used above 40 degrees. I don't remember their reasoning.
Summary:
2" of snow, 7 degree slope, no problem on Michelin A/S+ runflats.
It's all in the tires and tread depth. And a bit of luck.

My experience is that all tires lose grip as the temperature drops, but summer tires lose more grip more rapidly. That could be the explanation.
Plus, they like to sell tires.

The winter tires, which you are correct will be all seasons (as opposed to real snow tires), will not be available as part of your Corvette order, but aftermarket and directly from your local tire store that carries Michelins.
