Shipping New Corvettes
Will new C7's be shipped with cloth covers over them for protection as seen in earlier post? I don't remember which site I had seen the pic, but the transport was full of C7's with covers on them.

Yes. Paul (talon90) confirmed that is how they will be shipped.

From what Tadge said at Bloomington and the photos in his presentation....yes....all C7's will be covered and the cover belongs to the purchaser of the C7. He stated they did a tremendous amount of work on this in order to have cover that will not damage the paint, plus provide access for the loading/off loading without removing the cover from the car. He said the cars will be covered when they go out the door at the factory so they are not installing a cover over a dirty car.

I hope the dealers are aware that customer is given cover.

I saw trucks with covered C7s on I65 and saw cars with covers being driven out the back door of the plant. The covers were mentioned in seminars. But I don't recall any mention of covers being given to the buyer. I wonder if they'd be suitable for extended use, or if the "green" factory would have drivers return them for recycling? We should try to get a definite answer before cars are delivered with buyers demanding the cover.

I asked the question at the NCM 60th a couple of weeks ago and got the same reply-the covers would remain with the dealer/customer. I have already confirmed that mine will be saved for me. I've not had the chance to see one up close-sounds like they are basically a one-time use product so if you keep it it will be more for the collectible factor, not for reuse. That would especially be the case if your car encounters rain on the way. Cars transported in the Winter months will really have covers requiring a lot of cleanup when the salt/slush gets to them as they journey to the snow belt states.

One can only hope. But I'm sure we'll see stories of "Cover Denied" in the not to distant future.
But it is something that has been a long time coming. Glad it's "finally" here.

Lori's answer seemed a bit ambiguous. "all C7's coming from the plant with covers will have those covers given to the deliveree".
Is that to say, some may not come with covers?
