Default Do You Have To Use Paddles For Rev Matching?

Do you have to use paddles each time you shift for rev matching or do you turn it on or off with a switch?

You just use the paddles to turn on/off the active rev matching. That's all the paddles do on the manual transmission.

So ,every time I shift and want to rev match, I use the paddle or once I turn it on, it stays on till I turn it off with the paddle?

Yeah, once the rev match feature is on, it stays on until you hit one of the paddles left or right to turn it off.

Does Rev Matching default to Off every time you start the car or does it stay on permanently till you turn it off ?

You know that's a good question. I'm not exactly sure maybe every time you turn the car on, the active rev is on by default then you can turn it off. You might be able to mess with the settings meaning changing whatever the default setting is.

My bet is it defaults to off. Now there may be a way to change that. I don't know at this point.
Maybe if Talon90 has time he will chime in.

I am sure it defaults to OFF on all manufacturer's manuals with this newer feature , less you end up looking like a tool to follow commuters in the morning stop and go crawl.

On the 370Z, which is the only other car with a manual transmission with this feature, I believe it stays in whatever setting you put it in even after your shut the car off and turn it back on.
