Wish the GM pilots would leave the targas in so they can make sure they stay quiet, or identify any issues with them in that regard.

I know many here are stating what a radical change the C7 is but when you get down to it, from a looks perspective, one years difference in 1950's Chevys varied greater then a generational change does now for C6 to C7.

Pictures dont do a lot of justice to the difference between the two. When you have them side by side and you sit in the c7 you notice HOW different they really are. The c7 is much larger on the outside. Obviously the floor print is similar.... Just the way they cut the new lines its massive and aggressive. The interior does not have a tremendous amount of visual change... but it makes up for it in comfort and tech updates. They put the tops back in to head back to kentucky. The seals not being conditioned is most of the issue for the C6, we actually talked about that specifically.

You mean you hope it does, right?
My fixed roof C6s (Z and ZR) have been completely squeak/rattle free. Very tight cars. I've had to adjust the targa on my GS, but since then it too has been quiet. A lot of folks have to make that adjustment, and many haven't.
Would be nice if the targa version no longer has the issue at all though. One of many things I enjoyed with my Z and continue to enjoy with my ZR with their fixed roofs has been the absence of this issue. Hoping the hi-po variant of the 7 is a fixed roof. If it's not, hopefully this has been fully addressed.

My car went back to the dealership for repair to silence the creaking but it continued. I have friends with the same problem. Drives them nuts. The crime is that GM knew of the problem but did nothing to get it fixed. Yes they came up with a new latch but that didn't help my car. Put greese all over it was the answer. My 75 and 82 T Top cars didn't make a sound.

I own a '13 GS, and the roof panel makes no sound what so ever. If I didn't know it was removable, I'd think it was no different than any family sedan.

In short, spend about 10mins greasing your wife's roof connections, use Post #2 as a guide.
