I happen to agree wholeheartedly with this. I do not like the dark vents highly visible all over the light colored C7s, vs. blending-in with the darker colors...

FWIW I had the same question. Prior two Corvettes were Torch Red and thought a change would be nice for C7. Wanted Brownstone interior and thought it would look good with Crystal Red so that is the color combo I ordered and got on my 2015 C7. Looks great and has class. Each color complements the other but when I walk into the garage the darker red does not jump out at you like the torch red did. Always been a bright red guy and will probably go back to that with C8. Old habits die hard.

Default ttt

Black on the outside with TR & black on the inside with 3lt package. Every corvette I have had in the past has been Torch Red. Plus that would have been for over 30 years..

My first two Corvetts were red, 2004, 2007. My next three 2011,2014,2015 were blue. I am going back to red in 17. You might want to try blue with brownstone or gray interior.

For me, it would be white with red interior or something like a medium blue with red interior (if GM comes out with a replacement for Lemans Blue).

I went from a '06 silver to a '08 CRM to a '10 TR, now proudly own a triple black '14 vert, very happy with my choice!

I went with TR having never had a red car before, all I can say is I love it!
I did like the Artic White a lot, the red seats and black wheels look really good in Artic White. The Torch Red just won me over in the end

I have a TR coupe now but if I were in the market for a new C7 it would definitely be a 3 LT Long Beach Red Convertible with Spice Red interior and top. Love that color combination and the special wheels that come with the spice red package.

I see people mentioning that their C6's were Torch Red. Our 2007 C6 Z06 was "Victory Red" (VR). The C6 Victory Red was a little less "orangie" than the current Torch Red. Torch Red seems to pop more in the sunlight.

Our Victory Red C6 Z06:

Our 2016 C7 Torch Red:

'65 C2 was Silver
'05 C6 was Precision Red
'14 C7 is Laguna Blue
My next Corvette will not be PR or LB as both are history. I never buy the same color again anyway so that also leaves out silver.

Too many nice Corvette colors not to mix it up a little. Can't wait to see what the '17 C7 changes are when announced soon.
