Default iPod or iTouch hook-up

Hey fellas -

Want to buy either a nano or itouch for music. Where does it hook up to?

Will these devices hook via Bluetooth?

If not - where is the cable hook up?

Is it in the armrest compartment?

Suggestions as to the iTouch or Nano?

Thanks

As far as Ipods go, the Ipod Touch is the only one that works perfect with the C7. I have two Ipod Classics but they only work sometimes. It gets plugged in at the usb port behind the screen;I love it!

The iPod Touch has Bluetooth, so why not connect via Bluetooth?

Thank you.

Does the screen have to stay open or will the wire fish out when the door is closed?

Another option is to get a USB flash drive. They come in very small sizes and you can plug it into the USB port in the console. This way it's less obtrusive.

Plugged my four month old Ipod into my new '16 C7. Worked, sometimes. Sometimes it wouldn't connect, sometimes it took a few minutes to link up. Often it worked erratically.

With advice from this forum, switched to a USB stick. No problems! Works much better and every time vs. the Ipod. Required formatting and file management, but easy to do. Do a search. Plus, I can just leave it in there and don't have to remember to bring my Ipod or take it out of the Corvette. I use the Ipod around the house.

USB stick is the way to go, takes up no room which leaves space for other items

One advantage to iPod touch is Apple Lossless format, otherwise I prefer USB.

I have one of each and they both work very well. Takes up little space since they almost mount flush.
