Not All markups may be the same. I'm not talking about option differences, but whether you agree to sticker price, $1,000 above or below sticker, etc.

MSRP - $1000. No dealer fees. Agreed in writing back in February. Plus whatever GM Card earnings I have will reduce the price further.

MY Dealer and I met in the middle between Invoice and MSRP. I figured around 3k off sticker, minus 1k in GM card points.

I will purchase the C7 like all the cars I bought before. I will decide on the options and determine the sticker price (MSRP). I have a good idea what the dealer's margin is and base my price on this percentage. I will evaluate my current Corvette's book value and determine what I will except on the trade. Using these amounts will give me a good idea what the final outlay should/will be. Currently, contacting a dealer is a waste of time. A new Corvette is not a necessity, I will wait.

I will buy a C7 but I am going to wait. Over the years I have bought many cars (3 motorcycles and 9 cars in just the past 7 years as an example). I have never paid much over dealer invoice. I almost bought a C6 GS at invoice a couple of months ago. I will wait until I can buy a C7 for invoice or a little over if I buy new. Most of the time I do buy new and I would like to experience the Museum Delivery on my next Corvette purchase!

Msrp is more than appropriate for this new corvette. There is a pleasure that comes from owning such a new model generation that transcends the few extra dollars spent....
I'm surprised to hear one or two already getting money off but relationships do play a part in pricing.
I don't have a new c7 on order just yet and my opinion is just that.
What a beautiful car.

I got 4% off MSRP and a very decent trade offer.
Dealer has 5 more cars......... to order. PM me and I will share contact info as he is not a supporting dealer.

By now you must have received 100's of PMs as 100's on this forum would be clamoring for a 4% discount, while everyone else is paying MSRP or $1000 below.
My initial reaction to this was that there were extra dollars to give on your trade that they showed on the purchase side of the transaction. I hope I am wrong.

option A: 4k off msrp at my usual dealer BUT all allocation was taken so would be part of the spring allocation 2014..
option B: $500 off msrp, with instant allocation/consensus....
i went option B.

Very judicious approach. The guys who are unloading their wallets at full sticker or more are cutting their own throats to own an early C7 which unfortunately will be the worst, most problematic, and have the lowest future resale value. It always works this way with the release of a new generation. GM has the capacity to fart out C7s at a pace that would far exceed what the market would ever consume. The huge discounting that we all have come to expect on new Corvettes will return in the near future.
And drmustang...... Regardless of what you say.... You'll have some level of envy...... When you see us driving around the block!!??
Next year or whenever.....when You "save" your thousands below MSRP....... Most of us will have already moved on to the next "newest & greatest"!!!!!
As you can see from my Signature....... I've already experienced a number of different types of vehicles......
