The LT1 & beyond ?
I just got reading the September issue of Car& Driver where the test out the new C7. Very impressive, but I'm wondering with all of the "New" technology in this new LT1 engine, if companies Like 'Liingenfelter or Callaway are going to "enhance" this engine to even greater horsepower ?

Yes...that's how tuners make more money...
How is anyone's guess.
I'd imagine supercharger s will be in the mix.
Direct injection is a fine metering tool to assist in controlling combustion for greater performance and reliability..
I'd guess AFM will tune out easy enough with disabling Eco mode.
New heads are also an option ...cam headers etc...
Prepare to open wallet wide.

Anybody that buys a C7 and attempts to mod the engine better have deep pockets. Nobody knows the longevity of this engine until it has been around for a while. It may be solid and it may be running close to the max in some mechanical areas. The fact that your warranty will be gone when you mod should make some people take a step back.

Gonna stick potatoes in two of the exhaust tips ................ Gawd ........... I laugh thinking about doing that as a kid to the grumpy old man down the street that used to stiff kids on Halloween.

Like any of that has stopped the Corvette aftermarket before. I dont think the LT1 will be any less solid than the LS3 or LS7 mechanically. There will be a learning curve but if youre going to mod you already know the risks associated.
It'll be fun to see where the LT1 platform is at this time next year and whatChevy has up its sleeves for the high performance version.

From what we know, the LT1 has been tuned for Mileage and emissions. This implies that there is plenty left on the table for the tuners.
It won't take long for the first sets of headers to arrive,
A bit of porting to clean up the air passages,
Expect significant gains.....

The LS3 and LS9 have been modded with great success on stock internals.
The LT1 appears to have pretty stout components as well, and my bet is the wick will be turned up a bit on many of them with no issues assuming competently done.
