Another first for Callaway, the specialist manufacturer has just developed a new version of the service-proven Eaton TVS supercharger for the 2014 Silverado/Sierra 5.3L. Shown in the attached photos with data collection instrumentation still attached, the Callaway system includes a new supercharger manifold and other hardware required for the new Chevrolet L83 "Eco-Tec" engine. Callaway engineers also developed calibration for the new-for-'14 GM electronic powertrain management system. Significantly different for 2014, the new electronics control Direct Injection, continuously Variable Valve Timing, Active Fuel Management and other engine functions.

While the new powertrain management system provided new challenges for Callaway's development staff, its additional control authority also provided improved refinement and integration of positive manifold pressure, through all the transient conditions of "normal" drive cycles. The Callaway Silverado's performance and drivability are nothing less than spectacular. The development project is now in the final stages of in-vehicle testing and validation; final horsepower and torque rating will be released very soon.

Developing the new Silverado/Sierra engine management calibration is especially important because the 2014 Corvette uses much of the same powertrain management architecture and controls. Lessons learned in developing the Silverado/Sierra system have been extrapolated to the new Corvette platform. Consequently, Callaway enjoys a significant headstart in developing the supercharged 2014 Callaway Corvette and Silverado/Sierra 6.2L.

Development is also underway for Silverado/Sierra optional equipment, such as suspension components for improved ride and handling, wheel and tire packages, brake systems and interior upgrades.

Authorized Callaway Dealers are ready to take orders for the new Callaway Silverado and Sierra 5.3L Crew Cab now, with Extended Cab and Standard Cab models following soon. Callaway will introduce the supercharged 6.2L-equipped 2014 Callaway Silverado, Callaway Sierra and Callaway Corvette later this year. Tahoe and Suburban for 2014, and their GMC Yukon, Yukon XL and Cadillac Escalade counterparts, are carried over from 2013 with only minor changes.

Callaway Cars is recognized worldwide for its distinctive, limited production, high performance cars and trucks. Supercharged Callaway Corvettes, Camaros and SportTrucks are “Powerfully Engineered” to produce breathtaking power while maintaining perfect drivability, unsurpassed reliability and 50-state emissions compliance. Standard equipment includes a comprehensive Callaway warranty that works in conjunction with GM factory warranties. All Callaway equipment is installed at Callaway’s California and Connecticut factories, and Callaway cars and trucks are sold by a network of Authorized Callaway Dealers across North America. Callaway Silverado and Sierra packages start at $17,395. To find your local Callaway dealer, click here: http://www.callawaycars.com/get-your...d-dealer-list/

You tease!!

Honest answer, how much more power can the stock fuel system support?

Since the 5.3 is around 355 hp, will the stock fuel system support 450whp? I'm guessing on the 5.3 you guys are aiming for around 500-525 hp crank.

Reason I ask is if you think the C7 system will be able to support 550whp. That's enough for me. I'd hate to have to spend a significant amount more on direct injection fuel system upgrades.

My stock fuel pump on my 2007 GT is handling 480whp, and that's a 260whp motor stock. Of course, I had to upgrade injectors, but that is an easy swap.

If we could, without hassle, make 600-650 crank hp in the LT1 most everyone would be more than happy with that power output.

Looks like the C7 will have to have a different hood if that setup is ran. Bummer

When it comes to superchargers and packaging, we have found that ours, and the design, is the best possible solution for power, reliability, and drivability.

Take our 2010 SC606 Callaway Corvette Grand Sport. She has over 166,500 miles, and never any mechanical issues. Nobody else comes close to being able to prove this with their superchargers, and our car keeps going, and going...

So, regarding hoods, etc., I'd say to be patient and stay tuned to what's on the horizon. Thank you for your interest in Callaway

Final power is still under development, so final packaging isn't complete just yet. We are very excited by what we are seeing, at just the tip of the iceberg!

Okay, cool.

Let me ask in a different way.

With whatever power level you are at, are you using a completely stock fuel delivery system, or has it required modification and/or additional components to provide additional fuel?

I'm certainly interested in a blower kit for the Stingray, but I'm surprised by the prices.

As another reference point for reliability, I have a 130K+ mile Tahoe with a $5000 Whipple that has worked for a living, towing a 10K lb race trailer and being a daily driver, off-road camping, beach wagon, commuter and school bus. It has never failed me.

Callaway....always number #1 in performance ! Can't wait to see the Corvette. Will you have that 2014 Silverado at Carlisle ? Hope you be able to have at least one 2014 Corvette Supercharged at Carlisle also.
Got another question. Will the 2014 Callaway Corvette have the Cylinder Deactvation ? Is Callaway working on a Program or System to eliminate or bypass it ?

One of the drive modes disables active fuel management (AFM or what some call cylinder deactivation.)

I hope at least one of the blower kits is tuned for California 91 RON and certified for emissions.

OK Chris, in lieu of power details, how about a video (with sound) of the truck at the dyno?

Our vehicles are 50-State Emissions Compliant and legal for sale in California. We are engineering the same with our 2014 product
