Pictures of Corvettes at Carlisle(PA) for those that couldnt attend/Mike@Criswell
I have been fortunate to attend Carlisle(PA) events since 1978 and I thought this yr I would share my pics from the past 3 days. I left my house Friday at 5am to meet up with my Corvette Club(Frederick County CC) and we caravanned 12 strong from Thurmont, MD to the Fairgrounds. I was driving a brand new 2013 60th Anniv GS Convt specially prepared by Callaway. For those of you that don't know about this event it is held on 90 acres (soon to be 150 acres). Lance Miller is the most gracious host taking over where his Father (Chip Miller) left off. The C7 was spectacular. In three weeks I will be putting the C7 thru it's paces at Spring Mountain Race Track in Pahrump, Nevada...Ron Fellows will be there instructing on his 2.5 mile track that has 10+ turns and many elevation changes. Please enjoy the pictures and descriptions below.
I literally met up with several hundred of my customers/friends at this
show and some of them I had never met. That was my favorite part of this Corvette experience. Thank you all for taking the time to stop by for a visit.
Friday 6:30am
Friday 7:15am...The GM execs arrive with about 15 C7's...cool to see them all flocking together.
I like the Torch Red with Adrenaline Red!!
...but then...I like them all...below is Crystal Red Metallic with Kalahari.
Lime Rock Green with Brownstone
GM exec gave me a 20 minute tutorial on the C7 dashboard.
Night Race Blue Metallic with the C7 Bra accessory. I like it! Best accessory yet.
Laguna Blue in the Sun pops!
If you are doing a Corvette Museum delivery...this is the woman that heads the program: meet Lori Bieshke.
Over 70 1963 Split Windows on special display...WOW!
Burnout contest smoke from 4 rows away!
Our Callaway leader: meet Reeves Callaway. I had dinner with him and his Callaway men both Friday and Saturday evening. Always great conversation!
My ride for the weekend on display at the Callaway tent...may be Sold: stay tuned for an upcoming story.
Mr Straker joins me at the Callaway tent for a photo op while his wife snaps the picture.
Just a snippet of the Corvettes on the fairgrounds! Yes its a big show!
Day one on the grounds winds down.
Friday night the Callaway Owners group had their annual dinner for 65! Reeves speaks with Victoria and Terri, owner of RPO B2K #25, Callaway 25th Anniv edition.
Saturday 6:30am~ Day two begins where Day 1 left off.
Lance Miller/Host: stops by and picks up Chris Chessnoe of Callaway in his trusty Golf Cart.
C7 frame views
1963 split window Z06 big tanker...very rare!
Billy K from NY...first time meeting him. I ordered his car and he did the engine build experience and Corvette museum delivery of a beautiful Crystal Red GS Cpe specially prepared by Callaway. Billy's Vette was the last C6 delivered at the Museum...and the last engine build experience at Wixom.
I had Reeves Callaway come over to sign his carbon fiber rail cover.
Tom Hill: Head of Quality Control Engineering at the Corvette Plant...a good guy to know!
and he is always busy.
Day 3-Sunday 7:30am we drive in right behind the man himself: Lance Miller in his ultra rare Carlisle Blue 2012 ZR1. Callaway Chris and I stopped for a chat with him before his morning meeting. Gracious as always! Last yr I had dinner with him on Friday evening and I can only imagine his business plate was full as Carlisle weekend for the Corvettes is the Grand Daddy of Corvette shows and he is the Ringmaster.
Reeves Callaway and Chris Chessnoe discuss the event Sunday morning.
Driving thru the hills of PA on the way home.

Awesome pics Mike!
That one with the split windows is amazing. If you didn't know it, you would say it had to be a photoshop.

Hey Mike,
Good to see you and thanks for the current Info on my order. Great pics and sounds like you had a great weekend. Was a great relief to see the C7 in person. Keeping my fingers crossed mine will come in by the time we have our Ocean City event. Maybe GM will lend us one for the event!
Thanks again.

Mike,
Thanks for the pictures. I was planning on ordering a Torch red w/ Black mirrors and spoiler, but after looking at these pictures; I'm reconsidering. I may just go all red.
