Pricing in Vegas
I thought I'd ask a local dealer what their pricing/deposit policy is on the new C7. Here's the response I received:
"Thank you for giving me the opportunity provide info on the 2014 Corvette. Our current policy is $7500 over sticker and a $7500 non-refundable deposit. I know some of the big Corvette players back east have quite a different scenario in regard to a deposit, that is there hook to get buyers from across the country to their smaller Chevrolet markets.
Keep in touch, thank you."
I'm not surprised......Las Vegas may have the worst car dealerships in the country.

Geez, call any of the forum dealers, buy it for MSRP, ship it to Vegas, then take it over to that idiot local dealer for service and make sure to rub their arrogant noses in it...

Wow.
The scary thing is that they will sell some.

True Story: July 1983 during hot C4 intro found one at a small town dealership 75 miles away (I know, I know, this can't happen with C7 with the 900 dealers....) and immediately drove up there to buy it at MSRP ($24,450). Got it home about 500pm and 90 minutes later that same day my local dealer calls to tell me he has found me a new C4--at $5,000 over sticker. Relative to today's prices that would be about $12,000 over sticker. I told him to stxxx it! Even my 1990 ZR-1 in April 1990 was not over sticker. And my dealer for that one had a 1991 ZR-1 just 6 months later for $10,000 under sticker.

I tried talking to Findley back in February and just gave up. These guys are the worst. Zero communication, zero understanding, and my feeling was they just didn't care.
I talked Mike Furman at Crisswell and put a deposit down for an early convertible at MSRP in about 15 minutes.
My suggestion is you do the same or another large dealer and get local delivery. You'll get it faster and you'll get it cheaper.
My concern now is if Findley can actually service the car. I've got very little confidence in them at this point.

If you want a Viper, go to an LA dealer. They are already giving a 13 grand incentive off MSRP on 13 models. I'm sure you can get more.

Are you talking about the new Viper? I have seen deals already as well, just not quite 12k but i believe you. SRT dropped the ball on this car, but i saw one at my dealership last week and it is amazing. The idiot dealership had it marked over sticker. Some dealers just dont get it, but they will soon enough...

I fully expected to go out of state for a reasonable deal, but I thought I'd give local dealer a shot first. No doubt they have a very small allocation and think they can snag a few suckers. And they probably will.

Dealerships make money on service in ALL cases unless THEY decide otherwise. They get paid by GM for warranty work so that would only benefit them. Just sayin...

I saw a newspaper add in the LA times about 2 weeks ago saying 13 grand off MSRP on 2013 Vipers. So, I'm assuming if they say 13 grand off, they will go more if pushed.

My friend is a manager at Hend** Chevy, and I'm friends with the finance director at Fair***, they've told me they will sell to any of my friends or referrals at MSRP. One of my employees has one on order.
Let me know if I can help.

Sorry, I meant when the Viper was first introduced they were being sold way over MSRP. Same with the SRT* Chrysler's. They were something in the range of 10K over MSRP. I helped a buddy of mine find one in AZ for sticker, and within a year after he bought it there were big discounts. For me the big thing in NV is the private party sales not having to pay tax. I'll probably be patient and wait a year and buy a used one from a private party. That should save 4k-5K in tax.
