Default happy gm brought back the lt1

Just a quick check in..
Im happy gm brought back the lt1 Vs. these lsx powered abominations.

I have a 93 Lt1 C4. My 09 Silverado work truck has latest and greatgest 5.3 Lsx technology. the c4 Pulls way harder.

Newer doesnt equal better. example: an 82 C3 Vs. a 69 C3 Would be a joke.

even the space shuttle was a joke cmpared to the apollo moon rocket

Happy gm brought back ltx technology

I thought the technology on the C7 LT1 engine is all new, and that the engine model designation
is purely a marketing re-run (not necessarily a bad thing, just the fact).

It's just a name...just like calling it "Stingray" doesn't mean it's the original Stingray technology...

I'm happy they brought back LT1 technology too.
My 96 TA could pull trees out of the ground with its amazing off idle torque.Yes, actually pulled a couple of trees out of the ground for my neighbor who only had an LS1 at the time.
Hopefully this new LT1 is fireproof though. In 2007, my 96 Trans Am and the LT1 was destroyed in a garage fire. I would prefer my next sports car to be 100% fireproof, including the engine. Do you hear me GM?

LT1 "technology"??? Surely you jest! The last LT1 I owned ('93 'vette) was 350 ci and 300 hp, iirc. Piece of crap compared to today's engines. "LT1" is just an RPO designation, not a "technology."

I don't know, I thought it was funny.

But he has a point about the 5.3, I had a 2013 Silverado as a rental while my 06 Caddy STS was in the shop. The 3.6 in the Caddy pulls harder than that truck did, I do not kid. (But I won't be trying any stump pulling in it)

Nonsense. Apparently you never tried to rip trees out of the ground with your LT1 or you would understand that LT1 is more than just a silly RPO code. It's a way of life.

I had a tow hook installed on my 427 vet so I could pull trees with it, as it out pulls my f150.

What I remember from my last LT1 is that you didn't dare wash the engine because of the Optispark distributor.

Just remember not to wash your engine bay or drive in heavy rain...that opti-spark will go out....

Damn them for bringing that back!!!
