As long as I am driving a new stingray, I don't even care if she smacks me around

So will you get to drive it when you want? Or will you need permission from the wife?

Congrats are absolutely in order, both on a great marriage and the miles the two of you will enjoy together.

I have no doubts that my wife (now in a nursing home with Advanced Alzheimer's disease) would have said the same thing and looked forward to 'touring' together in it.

Very happy for both of you.

Beautiful new car you spec'd out there.

I understand the whole compromise thing but blasting to everyone that my wife gave me permission to do something isn't the first, second, or fiftieth thing I'd put in my thread title.

I'm sure that what really happened was that after you and your wife both sat down and maturely discussed what you were looking to do, you both mutually agreed that you would order your dream car.

Just as you would with any major decision that affected you as a couple.

You just worded your thread the way you did for dramatic effect - so that more people would read it.

Right? >Please say that I'm right.<

Congrats on your dream car, and for having a wonderful wife!

My wife and I watched the internet reveal on 01.13.2013, and as soon as she saw what the TR C7 looked like, she said YES, lets get one!

Congrats on your order! You will love the car as much as I will. Just a heads up, I noticed on your order that you ordered the visble carbon fiber roof. This roof is on 100% restriction and as far as I know nobody knows when it will come off restriction.

Now this is the funniest response yet...MY MONEY...LOL...I always thought marriage was a union and things became "ours" Wow...I guess I'm more modern and I always discuss large purchases with my wife as well, it's not permission it's called common courtesy.

Anyway...enjoy the car ! As always post of the hero shots after you get the car.

Congrats.

I'm still working on my wife on the C7 issue. It's not a huge push right now because we are in the process of purchasing a home and I can't get an employee discount at this time anyways.

And yes compromise is a part of family life and I happily traded the 668 rwhp lifted diesel truck, the sports car, and 2 of the 3 motorcycles for a lovely woman, stepdaughter, and a baby girl.

But I still want that C7!

Congrats. I handled it a little different. We have been married 43 years and it took me 2 months to convince her that she needed the C7. The past few weeks she seems to be catching on and she keeps asking "Who is this car really for"?

Way to go OP!! Congrats and may your marriage be long and happy....and a bit faster now!
My lovely wife of 35 years was on board the instant she saw the C7 for the first time!! Just like me it was love at first sight!
