I'm not married, but get the whole compromise/consensus thing. I am enjoying hearing how everyone gets the job done, and maybe I can get some tips should I need them later.

Now this is the funniest response yet...MY MONEY...LOL...I always thought marriage was a union and things became "ours" Wow...I guess I'm more modern and I always discuss large purchases with my wife as well, it's not permission it's called common courtesy.
Anyway...enjoy the car ! As always post of the hero shots after you get the car.

I didn't pay for it, so why would I care, other than I lost my space in the garage for my company car!

We have community bills & resources we handle together. But outside of that I make my own money, and I get to spend it the way I like. She makes her own money, and she gets to spend it the way she likes. God knows I dont want her approving my purchases.. and I damn sure dont want to approve hers. Maybe its an older generation thing, I'm in my late 30's.. and most couples I know operate like we do. Hell forget cars for a minute.. alot of us even own a home in our name.. and own another home together with our spouse.

Some things are better kept to yourself unless she forced you say that under duress.
PS- did she authorize you to post on this Forum?

I guess it also depends on if there are kids involved or not. The C7 is a luxury, not a necessity. If you're a responsible husband, then some $ should be set aside for retirement (only if you intend to retire at some point in the future), help with the kids education (only if you intend to have them go to college), emergency $,....If after all that's done and you still have leftover $, then no need to "ask for permission".

People who operate like this crack me up...WTF did you even get married? You do know if she leaves you she is taking a bunch of YOUR stuff with her...right?
All you other a-holes talking crap about grow a pair....etc etc etc...You obviously need to learn to respect people IMO. You need to read some of the other post as well explaining it's not really permission. Some folks just don't get marriage I guess.

Do these permission seekers get to pee standing up in their own home....or are they told to pee sitting down like a girl?...
I knew a couple of whipped guys who had to do that....
