Default 10th Annual Toys for Tots Corvette Cruise at Kerbeck Atlantic City!

It's that time of the year again and with all of the excitement over the new 2014 Corvette Stingray, we almost lost track of the time!

This year will be Kerbeck's 10th Annual Toys for Tots Corvette Cruise and to mark the 10th anniversary of this event we will have the all new, 2014 Corvette Stingray coupe on display! This year's event will be Saturday October 12th.

Harlan Charles, Corvette Production Manager and Steve Grili, Quality Control Manager at the Bowling Green Assembly Plant will be on hand to lead the cruise in to Bader Field and to answer your C7 Stingray Question.

The Corvette Race Team will be sending their Race Trailer again this year. We'll have live music, food and door prices.

There will also be special room rates at some of the casino's for the night before and the night of the event.

We ask that everyone goes to our Official Toys for Tots Corvette Cruise page to register and we ask that you keep going there for updates.

Feel free to email dave@kerbeck.com com with any questions.

Don't forget, we ask that everyone brings at least (but not limited to) one new, unwrapped toy. We also as that if your toy requires batteries that you purchase the batteries and and tape them to the outside of the box.

Thanks and well see you on October 12th!

Dave

No, not the whole mangy, flea ridden mob.

Maybe just a couple of the old dogs.

Just go word that Corvette Production Manager Harlan Charles will be attending this year's event! Between him and Bowling Green Quality Control Manager Steve Grilli, this will be a great chance to get all of your C7 questions answered!

I know there are a lot of new Corvette owners on the C7 board who may have never heard of this event, but it's a great time!

Dave,

We're all set for Saturday, and I thought I'd give this thread a well deserved bump for the worthy cause that it is.

I was looking to bring a radio controlled C7 coupe, but they're still hard to find at anything less than retail price.

The Toys R Us in Paramus have a nice Cyber Gray, with a black interior, spoiler, and tinted windows, but it has a SOLD tag on it. It is being prepped for a customer who is coming in to pick it up tomorrow. I hope they use microfiber towels!

I would normally not have a problem buying the first year run of a totally redesigned radio controlled car, but they are just ramping up production of the new model. It seems that they are having a few issues and problems right now, which is to be expected.

One car had problems with its differential, and one was delivered with no door sills. They actually had a manifest for one that disappeared! Turns out, it went to their store in the Palisades Mall!

It seems that Toys R Us has a lot of them quarantined for QC. There's a thread on the RC Corvette Forum, where a guy is tracking the progress of his car with OnStar!

Anyway. We tried for the RC C7, but it didn't happen. We did get a good deal on a fully loaded Torch Red C6R, though.

It's a little dated, I know. It may have those round tail lights, but when you mash that little go pedal, those AA batteries still rock!!

See ya Saturday. Looking forward to it.

Should be a lot of fun.

Tom

I was just thinking the same thing. I will go unless it's a downpour all day, but this would be much better during a dry day.

It's a rain or shine event. It may be raining on and off but I don't think they are calling for steady rain all day.

Don't let it keep you away, we need the toys!!!

No shutdown because of the government, but we can't fight Mother Nature. Even if it was going to rain all day today and Saturdsy, the field where we have the event is wrecked because of all of this rain so we have to cancel this year. Check out our Web page or other posts for more info.

Bummer.

Sorry to hear that, Dave.

I know a lot of planning goes into the event.

Anyway, it's probably for the best.

We'll see you next year for sure.

EDIT:

Dave,

I just read the announcement on your site, and saw that you are taking drop-off at the store.

I think we will take a ride down there, anyway.

After all, it's about the kids.

It would take 3 days of sun to dry out the field where we have the event. The last thing we need are Corvettes stuck in the mud or chair that people are sitting in going under!

I know, it really stinks!

Come on down, we could really use the toys! And you can see some new C7s while you are here.

Happy to do it.

Tell Dave Brown it's safe. I won't need a ride home, and I'm not bringing my checkbook.

I have a history, you know.
