Default Is the Premier Edition a $12,960 Option?

Was just on the GM site looking for C7 inventory at Kerbeck and came across this, looks like the Premier Edition option package upcharge (called a Processing Option) on top of the 3LT is $12,960 but they throw in the Laguna Blue option and other options as part of the package?

Damn. They said the price would be in the $70 K range but that's a loss the second you drive it off the lot.

Rick Conti has got one too:

I am sure things like Laguna Blue ($995 option on other C7's) FAY Carbon Dash ($995 option on other C7's), NPP Exhaust ($995 option on other C7's) etc. that are part of the $12,960 price.

I looked it up:

They will be identified by their VIN numbers, which will start at 300001, along with an individually-numbered plaque on the dashboard.

Based on the 3LT trim level, it features special logos on the center wheel caps and sill plates, a noticeable “stinger” stripe on the hood, and even Corvette-branded luggage designed by Thule.

In addition, the Corvette Stingray Premiere Edition is only available in Laguna Blue with a brown faux suede upholstery and interior trim, as well as the carbon-fiber trim décor package and an exposed carbon-fiber roof. The Z51 performance package will be standard, as will the performance exhaust system.

I would be interested to know if the exposed carbon roof made it into production or not on these Premiers.....

I think that $8005 charge is actually for the 3LT. The Z51 is inluded in the $53,800. The car includes chrome wheels, exposed carbon fiber roof, cf dash, the upper suede trim, the Stingray logo stuff, the luggage, and is uniquely VINned, with a special plaque. And there will only be 500 of them. I'm all of that will be worth $12,960 to everyone who buys one.

If you checked every option box and added the dealer installed luggage, that looks about the same.

I don't know what options you guys are selecting for everything to get $75,000 but I priced a fully loaded regular coupe at $79 and some change and a vert in the same trim will hit almost mid 80s.

With those numbers one can bet the HP version will be pushing 100+.

To put that in perspective it would be a $200,000 Lambo with $112,000 in options.

The HP version will easily push into the 100s. Z06s started at $65 and look where they went. I have no doubt we might be seeing base convertibles stickering in the 90s by the end of the model run.

Carrera here we come!

I just built an $84,000 Carrera with $86,000 in options

If you were to order this car with every option included with the Premier Edition except for the Chrome Torque Directional Wheels which are not available to order, the pricing would be $74,520.

Hold up a second. My Carrera for $90,000 more had leather wrapped A/C vents though.

Thanks Ken, that explains the price. Was expecting "...Pricing hasn’t been officially announced for this special trim level, but it wouldn’t be out of line to anticipate something in the $70,000 range..." from what I read on GM Authority.
