Good news-bad news
E-Mail from Mr. Reuss I recieved this morning.................
GM
The GM Employee Discount is bigger. Simpler. And better.
I'm pleased to announce that, starting today, the GM Employee Discount has been significantly enhanced. Eligible family members(1) of GM employees can now save even more on almost all Chevrolet,(2) Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles.
The new employee discount is:
Bigger.
The discount program features a bigger base discount than before. View the comparison chart to see how much more you can save.
Simpler.
No more subtracting Employee Vehicle Allowance from the Preferred Price to figure out how much you'll save. The discount price is now one easy number, listed on the vehicle invoice.
Better.
GM employees can now share their discount with extended family, including aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews — so more people can take advantage of this great perk.
It's a great time for GM.
We're building the best cars and trucks in our history — and have the awards to prove it. Now, we're proud to be able to share even greater savings on these amazing vehicles.
Enjoy your bigger, simpler, better discount now.
Ask your family member who works for GM to get an authorization number for you. Print it out and take it to a participating GM dealer to take advantage of this new and improved discount today.
Sincerely,
Mark Reuss
GM Executive Vice President & President, North America
That's the Good News.
The bad news is that the Corvette is not on the list.

I get them also. Have no idea why as I have no family working for or ever worked for GM.

No surprise about the 2014 Corvette not being available for Employee Purchase program. I got the same email yesterday and checked out the price difference on a 2014 SRX that I have on order. The new program saves me an additional $1600 over the prior program.

I also have never worked for GM, but I figured I was receiving the Emails because I did purchase my C6 Z06 using the employee number of a friend that works for GM, so my name is in GM's system.
