I found two at a dealer 70 miles from my house. The first one sold an hour after it arrived and the other sold yesterday. I was planning to drive there today and see it. I just checked Kerbeck's website and they don't show any C7's. Hendrick in ATL doesn't show any on their website either.

They are supposed to be customer ordered but a lot of dealers play fast and loose with the term "customer" to get around ordered for stock restrictions. My "customer ordered" Jeep SRT had the service manager's name on the window sticker. Jeep was only honoring orders for customer in 2012, no dealer stock orders allowed so a lot of sales manager, service managers and janitors ended up "ordering" SRT's

If you are speaking of generalities, and not specifically about the 6 cars I asked about, you are wrong. The 900 Chevrolet dealers that received allocations can order, and have ordered, cars for their inventory(un-sold to a retail customer at the time the dealer places his order with GM).

I understand that but I was told (and you know you can always trust the dealer as well as what you read on the Internet.....) that those wouldn't be built until the factory had satisfied sold orders. Of course the constraints may have altered that plan.

I do know that many dealers took customer orders without deposits and I also know they did this because they expect a certain number of those early orders to back out and those orders should get built and delivered before their stock orders, if they had enough allocation to order for stock after they satisfied customer orders. This puts cars on their lot which is the name of the game when a vehicle is in short supply.

I know I'd be pissed if I ordered a car, especially early on when the order banks opened, and dealers were getting stock vehicles before I got mine. That's mostly my point.

I went to the build your own C7 site, and searched inventory! It displayed 1 Black C7 at my local dealership! I was very suprised dealership had any! Went next day, and they had 6, with more coming! Thought I would have received a call from dealer, to come down and see, considering I bought 3 C6's from them!
