Default Q for C7 Black Exterior Owners

I've been reading in the forums of the dreadful orange peel on some of the C7's. There seems to be a general sentiment that more of the red C7's tend to have orange peel issues on the paint.

My ordered C7 is black, and wanted to ask current owners of this color if they've noticed the paint orange peel madness?

I don't see a reason one color would have more orange peel than another, but if you're going to notice it black would be the easiest to see it on. I think some people are more sensitive or picky than others, so ithere's some subjectivity unless you can see both cars side by side. It's amazing how many car lovers don't even know what it is. I only purchase black cars and it's the easiest choice to make when buying a car. I had a 2012 ZL1, and I had a contractor come buy to do some cabinet work. He'd painted some cars in the past and noticed the orange peel in the paint, especially since it was in the garage. I didn't think it was that bad and I didn''t let it bother me. Just keep your C7 out of fluorescent lights.

I have a red one and the orange peel is normal . Not much but normal and my car sits lower than most.

My car is black and I don't have any issues... I am on the fence wether to have it wrapped with Xpel ... My 427 was black and the wrap elimated all the swirls ... But resulted in orange peel... You can 't win...

Had mine wrapped the other day. Are you saying you got orange peel after it was wrapped?

The surface after the wrap was applied is smooth. It will develop little bumps?
