Much better than the C7 rear end....

Even after all this time, it still doesn't work and anything to clean up the overly busy, ugly rear end is a step.

That's what I said about the GM C7 renderings before it was released.

The Italia lights are the SAME 430 lights, but just 2, so wrong analogy. The C7 still has 4, like the C6, but they look like CRAP. And THAT's the issue. So going to C6 lights is just what Ferrari did with the Italia .

The good news about the new design is the EagleEyes LED tails would look MUCH better with that C7 bumber, due to looking more modern. But I have to say although the RPI bumper looks MUCH better than the OEM IMO, I would NOT buy a C7 and spend money on a rear bumper, but that's just me. That's why I won't buy a C7. Well, I wouldn't even if it had a nice bumper, I'm done with GM .

I don't think they sell wax, so it's a moot point.

Not hung up on round tail lights, but am not a fan of the C7 back end. Not so much the tail lights, as the surround and tear drops coming off of them. Would love to see a rendering of the car with the tail light area ad lower fascia body colored.

I just dont see who would realistically buy this. Who is really going to pay more to make the car look worse (and cheesier) than how it comes from the factory. The round lights just dont work with the new styling.

Most of the people who were grumpy about the loss of the round taillights.. have either changed their mind upon actually seeing the C7 in person or just wrote off purchasing a C7 all together.

No, they didn't. And Ferrari's didn't always have round tail lights either.

What someone needs to do is make huge tail fins for modern Caddy's. After all, isn't it what they are best known for?

My advice to the OP: You'll make more money making a conversion kit to turn C6 tail lights into C7 tail lights. In a year, that's what everyone is going to want.

I'd think if the vents are necessary you could incorporate them into the recess part of where the tail light mounts. Basically they would vent out around the tail light then. Would be nice too so the dirt wouldn't accumulate in that recess area like it does on C4's, C5's, and C6's.
Since the C6 tail light lens also incorporate the reflectors, maybe it's possible that the long horizontal red reflectors on the diffuser panel could be turned into white backup lights.

I think RPI should go a little further in their redesign and make the taillight panel a little taller and then make a new diffuser that is a little shorter.

Excellent point as the vents around the tail lights are functional. No matter what you do, you can't maintain the C6's look.

Its going to be "busier" looking.

Offering a C6 rear is fine with me. If someone wants it, so be it. Those ranting about the tail lights were a minority of Vette owners. Maybe not a minority of the posters on CF. Or, at least the majority on CF that wanted to make it a case over and over.

Really, if folks want to live in the past and can't handle the modern Corvette, so be it. Corvette folks have put some of the ugliest aftermarket crap I've ever seen on their cars. Why should the C7 be any different?

although the C7 rears styling - may not be its best view... simply going "round" tailight is not -alone- going to help it much.

That is a shame. I do not like everything GM builds but I would not go as far to say I am "done" with GM.
I guess it is fair to say you are not done with Forums whose subjects are GM cars...

Where all th s nastiness to a vendor asking for opinions came from I don't know.

But I will say- there's no Ecklers for Ferraris. Only Corvette drivers want to chrome up and junk out their cars.
