Anyone in the know, what does the factory do to a car in 4D00 hold. According to a video of D Tatmun they pull a whole day of completes and QC them. I assume this is to look for bad trends so they can be corrected sooner than later.

Not sure but I'd suggest it does not matter!! They are really moving them now. My was 4d00 2 weeks ago for about 3 days. Was bayed for a week....small dealer I used..... and came in Saturday.
Delivery tomorrow, assuming I fall in love with it!!! Hard to know for sure when you order with blind faith for me.

4D00 since the 27th. Supposedly has been shipped, but my Dealer won't give me a delivery date! I'm thinking maybe tomorrow. My fingers are crossed about the date and quality issues.

I picked up my new car today. It was in 4d00 status for 2 days. It never left Bowling Green. When I picked up my car it had 25 miles on it. The dealer said every 50 or so cars they randomly pick one and go through it with a fine tooth comb which includes driving them. Mine was that car and it passed with flying colors says my dealer. I drove it 250 miles home. No problems. The finish is perfect everything lines up, gaps are as they should be, runs perfect, interior is perfect and if I can just figure out all the stuff with the screens and controls on the steering wheel I will be happy. It is one GREAT CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks to some help from GM'er, I found out mine is 4D00 as well yesterday.
Really glad that it is as I was worried it had not been built yet and would be stuck in limbo due to the Z51 constraint.
Anyway, as someone who has worked as a Failure Analysis Engineer for several years, I am very glad indeed that my car is getting some extra attention by it's creators to make sure all is well.

Last video that was "starring" the plant manager Dave Tatman reported that they are already starting to slip them in.
