Nashviller VIN 378 is Finally Home! WOO HOO! Quick Review & PICS
All starts one day in October 2012 when I put down a deposit for the #1 spot C7. Order was placed in first consensus and the wait begun.
Produced on 09/04/2013
Sent to Nashville 09/24/2013
Finished "QC" 09/30/2013
Shipped 10/03/2013
Arrived at dealer 10/07/2013
The driver we had was super nice but not very motivated to get cars delivered. Judging by his "tracks" and start / stop times he was in no hurry.
I managed to see where he was and hung out on a overpass to snap a pic of my car flying by. Then I proceed to haul *** to catch him so I meet him at the dealership.
Upon arrival the truck driver was very courteous and friendly, we chatted while he was setting up the hauler to unload, he told me that this past weekend was the first time he was home since July!
He drove it off to the Clean up area where the staff at Country Chevrolet was super friendly. They asked me what I wanted done, if I wanted to keep the cover, which I told them to trash it. Asked if I wanted to ride up to the front to get it through PDI / Inspection which I of course did!
After getting up front he confirmed what I wanted done and what I didn't want done.
The tech came out and told me as part of the PDI he needs to drive 2 miles and asked me if I wanted to tag along. I told him no, I don't need to as I didn't want to make him nervous. He came back pulled in the bay and I asked them to check the rear diff fluid for fill. They agreed and did it with a smile. After PDI he told me that the front middle splitter was missing and they overnighted it and it would be here on Wednesday. He also mentioned the car was about 1 1/2 qts low off oil but everything else looks great.
They still didn't fill the tank yet so they asked me if I wanted to drive it over to the station with their gas card!
This whole time my Sales Advisor was in Vegas doing the Corvette Training and he was texting as things were going on as well as calling to make sure that everything went smoothly!
First Class service from a dealership is unheard of! They made sure that I was involved or informed as much as possible. Made me feel like I just bought a Bugatti!
Now to the car. WOW just WOW!
Likes:
It drives better than it looks!
The NPP Sounds awesome for a stock exhaust.
The LT1 Engine is very responsive, the TQ is incredible!
Transmission shifts very smooth, I wish throws were a little shorter.
Rev Matching works very well.
HUD is crystal clear.
Ventilated seats works good.
Bluetooth works well with the top off windows up! Windows down top off the other party can only hear me when I am almost screaming!
So-So:
I have to drive a Non-FE4 car to see if that option was worth it.
Cockpit feels very small compared to my C6.
Dislikes:
Location of trunk release. I hit it not once, but TWICE getting in the car or getting comfy. Annoying.
Rear tail lights squeak and move when touched.
Bose System - Very Bass heavy. Auto Volume control is not very linear - Abruptly turns down the volume when slowing down
Long throws in the shifter.
Stock ride height.
Issues:
Front bumper doesn't line up perfectly.
Hood slightly higher on one side.
Rear carpet doesn't sit flat where the battery is.
LCD screen brightness when it it's "dusk" out. Very dim as others have reported.
I have a stuck pixel in each of my LCD screens.
Rear bumper doesn't line up right. Clear coat "drip" along edge.
HUD Slightly tilted.
HUD Glitched. In Sport mode and MPH disappeared for 5 seconds.
Already got it up on the lift and lowered it.
Plasti-Dipped the stingray emblems as well as the corvette script and front "retainer."
Advice for someone that doesn't want to buy a C7. DON'T DRIVE IT! You will fall in love!
I've gone through over 30 cars in the past 9 years and I must say this is one of the most exciting cars I have owned!
Check out the sticker from Movimento Group. Any non-Nashvillers have that sticker? Seaching online I found:
From our extensive line of vehicle diagnostics and reflashing products, Altero automotive software updating services to our proprietary Nuvolo system, Movimento helps you streamline all of your vehicle knowledge management needs and keep production moving smoothly.
Truck driver mentioned to me that they were doing some sort of repair back in the tent and that they had Roush down there doing the repairs??
Don't know if there's any truth to that but this guy didn't seem like the type to make it up, not saying someone else is wrong and told him that but...
Video of the C7 Being Unloaded:
Stuck Pixel Radio - Looks like dirt but it's lit:
Stuck Pixel on Gauges - On right side, looks line but it's just one and phone moved.
Drip and fitment issue on rear bumper:

Don't let Drake near your car ......... We don't need another "My scuff plates are missing " thread. Congrats and enjoy the ride.

I see you have a Z51. You mentioned that the center part of the front splitter was missing. I assume you meant the center part of the front air dam. The Z51 does not have a center part of the air dam, but the non Z51 does.

Very nice review. I also wonder about the fe4 option as well, I have one on order and would love to hear some feedback. However, I think if in doubt it's good to have because you can't add it in after the fact.

I say: THAT'S a hoot! My wife and I had a good laugh. It's fantastic the enthusiasm and excitement these cars bring to some people!
Enjoy your new Vette...and I love the color! Classy.
