Any C6Z owners trading in for the C7?
I was curious to see if there were any Z owners trading in their cars for the new Stingray?
I have a 2010 Z06,and my plan is to wait for the Z07..

I'm waiting. I got a C6 at the opening gun and no regrets on it but later picked up a Z. Truth be told if I had got that first I likely would have only owned 1 C6. I'm thinking that will be the case here so I'm holding out. I'm also hoping they make some changes to the awful stern which I hate. Course the Z whatever the hell has to come in at about 100k at the most or its going to be too expensive for me and I'll get a base car instead. In a dark color which I don't like but anything that hides the boy wonder vents and stern is worth doing.

I'm waiting. Prob won't buy the first year of the Z version either. I'm happy with my C6Z they way it is for now.
If it comes in around 100k, I will likely not end up with a vette at all as my next car, and will move on to something else. If it's 75-85k, a second or third model year Z will be in my garage.

Done deal. Sorry guys but no regrets here - OK one, I wish there was another garage slot for my jsb '08. It would make a great project car to just go nuts with. The new car is so much more as a daily driver, traveling etc. Just one example, even on the new Michelin PSS driving the Z in the rain was nerve wracking.
A C6 owner in another post said that the new interior isn't much better - don't know what they're smoking but I want some. The shifter in comparison is velvety smooth, no more creaking and popping from the hatch, no more slip from front tires when turning sharply, no more engine tick, plus a new car warranty. If the new hipo version is that incredible I'll trade up, no drama.
If the C7 had not come along I would be perfectly happy sticking to my plan of having the engine and interior done to bring the C6Z up to snuff, it's an awesome car.

Waiting for the Z07. I really like my Z and I am not willing to sacrifice performance. I like the looks of the C7 and I'm sure the C7 Z car(s) will be impressive in both performance and appearance.

I don't have a Z06 but I have a TT C6. In terms of power, the C7 has a good bit of TQ down low.
I can say that unless you track your car a lot you won't be disappointed. Yes my C6 doesn't handle anywhere close to the Z06 but the C7 handles pretty darn good compared to the Z06.
I do plan on picking up the HiPo version of the C7, I'm in LOVE!

I personally am going to wait, I own a C6Z and absolutely love the C7 but a few things just don't quite do it for me as the Z does. The aggressive wide stance, track car feel, just plain sinister look is what does it for me! The C7 doesn't have that yet. I have seen pics of the C7R and if Chevy comes out with THAT body and 500+ HP I am in!!

I will patiently wait for the C7 Z06. My current Z06 satisfies my needs and I would not want to step down in power for the C7 Z51. I am also hoping that they differentiate the C7 Z06 enough to make me really want it. If they don't or it is priced out of this world I will consider something else. There is a lot to choose from when get to $100K or higher.

Nope.
While I look at the new C7 and say “That’s a good lookin’ Vette”…I then look at my Z and it’s just BADAZZ!
Just can’t part with it yet…I’ll wait and see what the C7 Z-car looks like.

I'm picking up a C7 next week at the Museum. My one owner Z06 is listed in the for sale section now. $25,900 and you own it.

I traded in my 427 and could not be happier! The C7 is superior in every way...On the ride to the dealer to trade it in...I actually got 'cold feet' but once I saw an drove my C7, Z51, MRC, & NPP.... I could not believe how drastic the advancements are over the C6 427 VERT! This was my 50th car purchase. The only other car that came close to the radical changes from the prior model year was when I went from a XJR to a XFR... Having owned Porsches and Ferrari's... And 7 Corvettes... The C7 is now in a league of its own with no excuses! It is an amazing car!

After spending some time in the new shop C7 I don't know....
I'm torn and here is why.
The interior even when comparing a 2LT to my 3LZ I think the inside of the new car is worlds better than the Z06. I like a number of the new features, even like bluetooth (my 08 didn't have it). Possibly if the new seats bolted into the Z....that would ease some of the difference. The stock shifter in the C7, I can't stand it. It's ok 1-4 but anything else it never feels like it is in the correct gear to me.
Power...around town there isn't much difference but start to crack the throttle and the current C6Z, even stock feels much more responsive and it pulls harder on the highway but there is also a 50 hp difference and 300lbs of weight between them too...
Suspension..our car has the Mag ride so it is nice to go from soft to hard on the suspension and turn in is nice with it. Not much roll, but not as flat as a Z either. The electric steering is nice and it's hard to tell that it isn't mechanical assist. Brakes are solid, but don't have quite the initial bite of a Z...given the calipers and rotors, I'm going to say the stock brakes on the C7 will hold up better on track than the C6Z's. Will know a bit more once we get the car on track and try and kill it.
So far, and it does need to be broken in, I don't see it hitting the mileage numbers they are saying.
My only real big gripe with it though, is that when the sun is behind you, it completely washes out the dash to the point you can not see anything if the car goes into 'night mode' and turns the headlights on. Other than that, they did a pretty good job and it's a very cool car.
My take, as a daily driver vs the C6 cars it would be much more comfortable than a Z or GS car. Want to be one of the faster guys out there...the C6Z06 and C6ZR1 still take that honor for the time being.

I have looked at the new C7 and it a great car, the engineers did a good job. There are some Quality issues to work through but they be resolved. However, I am not ready to leave my 09Z for it. The Z has been a terrific car with no issues thus far. I will do the wiggle test soon but have the GM warranty until 08/15 so not to concerned with it at this point. I still love the looks, the power, and the fact that it has the 427!
