Apex Duraflex. Got them off eBay for about $350 shipped. They were a pain to install though. Big gaps in the middle, tried multiple adhesives...all failed. Ended up screwing into the body and that fixed it.

Default 2015 Stingray Z51 convertible 2LT w/ kalahari interior

Recently traded in my 2012 Machine Silver Z06 for this 2015 Arctic White Z51 convertible 2LT... outfitted with Kalahari top & interior, yellow calipers, 8 speed paddle shift auto, performance data recorder, Nav, competition sports seats, NPP exhaust & battery tender.

The only upgrade at this point was replacing the chrome lug nuts with black gorilla wheel locks and after market stingray valve stem caps. I'm on the fence about adding a Z06 front grill, stage II splitter and rockers.

This is my third vette purchase... and extremely happy with Chevy's redesign. Awesome... exterior, interior and underhood enhancements over my previous generation Corvettes... :O)

White and Kalahari go together extremely well-beautiful vert esp with the competition seats.

I had a chance to do a wash/clay/wax treatment. The improvement was quite noteworthy in person, but looking at the pictures now, the real shine is not captured in the pictures .. I will invest in a proper camera at some point

Note on clay - be careful around the rear lower rockers where there's a factory film. I accidentally rubbed clay there and now I have a yellow line where the film ends (cut off line). I have tried everything to remove it to no avail. Looks like some yellow clay got embedded between the protective film & the body.

Special thanks to Glen E. for his valuable advise.

When is a good point to clay the car?

I am not a detailing expert, but from what I have seen/read, clay is supposed to remove embedded dirt and contaminants from the paint. If you rub your finger gently on a freshly washed car and it feels "gritty", then claying may help.

I didn't have a very pleasant experience claying my other car (black paint). It looks like the clay may have picked up a small contaminant, and now I have scratch marks in the direction of the clay. It will come off with a polish I am sure, but it's something I wish I could have avoided. I used a fresh clay, used lots of clay lubricant, kneaded it, etc, but still ended up with scratches.

Next time I will skip claying the C7, and will use Meguiar's ultimate compound to get rid of any embedded dirt. It restored the paint on one of my other cars that had not been polished/waxed in many years.

Default New arrival

Well it's finally here! After a build date of 2/11, my new toy finally arrived at Callaway West on Friday! Here are a few pics that I will call the "before" pictures. After the Callaway SC is added along with Double D exhaust, Z06 grille, Z06 rear tails, window tint, clear bra and Weapon X splitter and rockers I will take and post the "after" pics. Should have this baby home in about 2 weeks!

I'm gonna copy the chit out of this setup...looks so dope. Best car on the forum I have thus far, and i'm a modding *****. Minus the painted rear vents, but I feel his pain, they (tail vents) look the worst on the AW cars with very few ways to make it look better...So I understand.

What specs are the wheels? Size and offsets and tire sizes? (I know the brand)

of course......switch it to Track mode "Tr" and your hockey stick will pop right up.

also make sure that the display coinciding with the mode function is on.
