Default C7 and Hennessey

I'm considering taking my C7 to Hennessey, problem is I wonder if doing so on a Z51 versus doing it on a Z07 is smart or even doable. I'm sure Mr. Hennessey will advise me of the right choice, however why not get opinions from the Corvette community!

Give me your thoughts, Hennessey a Z51 or wait for the Z07?

Are you serious? Mr. Hennessey will advise you to spend your money with him....now. As would any other vendor of any product in the free world.

I'd wait for the C7 Z (or whatever they end up calling it) to come out.

Just think about the widebody alone. Can anyone build a widebody design as high quality as OEM? It's impossible.

If your post is missing from this thread, it's likely you were in conflict with site rules on hostile posting/personal attacks/unresolved disputes:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/foru...-disputes.html

We understand there were some issues associated with Hennessey years ago before they become a supporting vendor at Corvetteforum. We have not identified any unresolved issues involving Corvetteforum users. When we do identify someone, we'll be glad to intervene and provide any assistance we can.

If you have done business with Hennessey and have an unresolved issue, please post a factual account as per the above-referenced rules in the Transactions Feedback section so those details will be available for all to review before making any future purchasing decisions.

If you don't have personal experience on the topic, help identify someone who does and ask them to join the conversation as per the rules.

Give it some time for the dust to settle and then start reading about other peoples problems with their modified C7's, before jumping in.

Question number one, do you have a C7 Z51 now or at least on order?

Question numbre two, are you still just thinking of getting a C7 Z51 or waiting to see what the next high performance version is?

Question number three, how much HP do you want?

Hennessey I believe was advertizing up wards of 1,000 hp on just the LT1 with a twin turbo shortly after the C7 was introduced..

Either wait for the Z or get hold of Callaway, also a CF sponsor. Callaway has well over 100,000 miles on their supercharged C6 GS without trouble, a big confidence-builder.

If something (like an engine) goes "boom!" who pays? Do you have the money to replace one after paying for the original modification? That's one reason some are urging you to wait for the next big thing from Chevrolet and Corvette: it is spelled, w-a-r-r-a-n-t-y.

Wait for the Z07. that will give the tuners time to develop their product and time to see what the Z07 has to offer.
