Nice job OP. The level of stupidity by some in here is astounding. Equating 60' times with 0-60, thinking flashing the converter equates to a computer tune, thinking Edmond's crappy 113 mph trap they used for all their tests was gospel.

Congrats!
As a comparison, I ran 11.67@119.3 with a 1.711 60' on 10/17/03 @ Atco w/ a Vararam & Tune only in my C5Z06. Everything else was stock...VERY similar to your run. My point is that your car has more HP, so I agree that better times are coming when the car is broken in more and in better air/DA.

Give me a chance. I'll be at Bradenton in a month where they have a brand new track resurfaced that is! it's still in the high 80's here in Florida but cooler weather is coming.

Car has only hit the streets a few weeks ago. Give it time. Atco is a FANTASTIC track, practically right at sea level. That combined with some cool air, the times will be phenomenal. Usually most people on the east coast run their fastest times over there. Track prep is usually great. Englishtown is fantastic as well. I'm sure if someone with a stock C7 with the same/similar driving ability went there in the same/similar conditions, we would see sub 12 second passes as well.

Please tell me more about your magic math. The car crosses the 1/4 mile mark in 4th gear. Meaning it makes 3 shifts. To cut 0.7 seconds it'd have to cut 0.23 seconds per shift when it already shifts in about 0.1 seconds. So... we're going to need some negative shift times... pretty amazing technology!!!! -0.13 second shifts baby!

Congrats OP- killer time for a bone stock car.
To some of the comments on the first couple of pages around the manual Z06 cars another thing we must acknowledge is the tire brand. Jim Mero said himself during the tire shootout between GY and Michelin that he felt sticking with the 245/285 tire wasn't ideal but when the smaller Michelin lapped faster than the larger GY's he knew just how big of a difference the tire makes. I think thats another reason for the amazing 1.7 60' times in addition to the off idle tq delivery of the C7 vs the C6 LS3.
Not being a naysayer here since I have a LS2 based car, , but it would be interesting to see/know what a LS3 on the same tire(C7 OEM Michelin) would run.
That would make it a very close apples to apples comparison.
At the end of the day I could care less as I like the C7 and have the now very ancient LS2 based motor.

FYI Porsche claims about 0.1 second per shift advantage over a manual trans car with average driver. So in the above example that's 0.3 seconds gained over an average stick jockey... not a modern auto shifting faster already.

Racerns was the first in the 10s bone stock. I believe his main competition now holds the record with a 10.6X bone stock.

I emailed you back on Sunday night and told you that there was no fee to spectate. I don't know you, you don't need my cell phone number and I have no desire to give it to you.
You could have easily found out for yourself when the rental was...

I personally feel that there should be at least 1,500 miles on the vehicle before you race it. Although today I did take it from a dead stop into 4th gear at full throttle..........with a little power brake (2,000 rpm) with T/C off. Thanks Sean........
It pulls hard for a porker! We will see......I'm actually excited and looking forward to racing it.

So here it is...
In the pits on Monday, all day long, with the hood open for everybody to see whether or not it has one of the few available mods on it (cold air kits and headers).
Surely, at some point during the five hours I was at the track, one of the guys running their 8-, 9-, 10- or 11-second cars would have noticed that the car didn't have heat shields and had aftermarket exhaust on it and/or a cold air kit. At the very least, the sound would have clearly given away that the car is not stock, especially header, right?
Oh...gee...I guess not.
Or maybe it had some sort of stealth, unknown exhaust system on it (and a cold air kit that nobody at the rental looking at the car noticed), and I removed it sometime between getting home yesterday at 5 pm and this afternoon...
Well, that sure looks stock.
And that sure looks like a factory header flange and heat shield.
And holy cow...what is that? Well it's one of the factory cats! Still there!
So what's left? Maybe I had it tuned? Yeah, that's it. It's got to be tuned because "not a single other person has cracked 12 seconds yet".
Here's what I say to that...$5000...put up or shut up.
I'll happily take the car to ANY local Chevrolet dealer (New Jersey or relatively close) or tuner who can do an ECM history log check and confirm that the car has not been flashed once we come to terms and deposit 50% in a mutually agreed upon escrow. If you have somebody you want to send to inspect the car...set it up. If you're not going to man up put your money where you mouth is, then drop it.

I wish Craig, too busy trying to make a living up here in the cold! As much as I would love to see your ride in person I meant I would love to see you run some great times. Take a picture of your finished tint and post when you can, I love red and black combos so it must look great!

Your point being that it is therefore OK for some to continue to whine about the fact that the C7 does not have a DCT? Really?
