Idaho? Isn't that where the guy was yesterday talking about getting written up for 'reckless' just for revving it?
Maybe there really is balance in the universe. Take that, Mr. Crabby neighbor. What if yesterday's OP showed him this pic? Would that be another 'display of speed'?

I have heard rumors of these being VERY stable at such speeds, to the point of some taking pics with one hand and steering with a finger. I wouldn't know as I never exceed the posted speed limits.......But I wish I had a road like that near me.

Yeah, and there's another great thing about speeding on a deserted road like that. There's usually really nothing to hit for miles and miles, (except for the occasional deer or antelope wandering across it.) Hitting a deer or an antelope at 150 MPH will **** you up big time.
Of course if you do manage to just run off the road, there's a great chance that nobody will find you until somebody notices the buzzards circling your carcass. In any case, you can be almost sure that you'll be dead, (and probably stiff) before you get anywhere near the closest hospital.
I'm from Wyoming where we have a lot of roads like that, and the hospitals are few and far in between. If you're going to do something as stupid as that, at least let some-body know where you're planning on doing it, and when you SHOULD be home again.
In the meantime, I'll just wait for my stuntman to do it, and I'll watch the video!

Ah the joy of open, deserted roads.

Yeah, I would expect that it wouldn't be much for the C7. I know I heard rumors that my.. I mean a..2001 trans am runs super smooth at 150. 12 years of better tech and $35,000 worth of upgrades should do better than that.

Kill stories were about random encounters on the roads of America...a formerly free nation that has now been excessively regulated, and its highways and biways used as a resource of income for police depts, towns, ambulance services, etc. the kill story section allowed a member to describe an on the fly contest of speed between their Corvette and someone else. In good story format, it was often a fun read.
But then it was decided grown men cant handle reading illegal activity because reading about speeding made them want to speed I suppose. As we know, no one on this forum speeds ever. These days laws are written to encourage sexuality as a foxhole discussion, but dont dare talk about doing 65 in a 40!

Nice job man. You only live once.
For all you negative nellys out there, don't act like you never break the rules.
Go cry more while you "break" the speed limit all the time yourself.
BTW, if you say you never speed you are a hypocrite, just sayin.

Sort of like on my trip down to tire rack the other day, I saw this porsche cayman S in my side mirror, and it made a sort of noise like it was trying to move fast, and then I saw it again in my rear view mirror again a few seconds later?

Exactly!!!
By the way everything is legal till you get caught. We have a stretch of highway close to home that I like to open up my c6 every once in awhile as well.

Here is another pic for all you nonbelievers. It was taken moments before the run. It was on a VERY desolate highway in Idaho. Living in the non-populated West has its advantages. If I had not had the camera phone in my right hand I could have grabbed 5th gear and pull to 160mph+. Maybe I should run a video up to top speed and post that. My mom would not be impressed though...
Having hit more than my share of deer and wild pig and even a couple of hawks I shudder to imagine.
Desolate road car wise but believe me you aren't alone.
