Is this a GT forum or corvette forum? Definitely can't tell the difference in this thread

C6 Z06 can rip off a 1.7 second 60' mark with a 2.66 first gear and a 3.42 rear gear with crappy first generation Goodyear tires.

But to compare total gear ratios in first gear.....
C6 ZR1..................7.83:1
Gt500....................8.94:1
C6 Z06...................9.10:1
C6/C7 Z51 M6/7....10.16:1
C6/C7 A6..............10.32:1
C6/C7 Z51 A6........11.00:1

I agree. True test would have been if a third car behind them blew their horn.

Whats the difference? Because it's a corvette forum does that mean you have to kiss it's *** and be biased and not say anything negative about it. That's the problem with the C7 forum, everybody is so far up the cars *** they can't see straight.

I don't get it, why would anybody expect a stock C7 to beat a GT500 in a straight line? It's not a negative aspect of the C7. They are totally different cars in different classes. I met a GT500 owner in a Publix parking lot last Sunday and we spoke to each other. Not once did we compare ***** sizes. We just enjoyed each other's vehicles. The GT500 is a monster, but not something I would want to drive every day.

A 1.7 isn't terribly good for a car that runs 126-127 mph in the 1/4. I pulled a 1.39 60' in a car that ran 126.62 mph. I bet you would see 1.5s with a 4.10 gear.

The Z51 A6 is getting close to a good drag racing ratio.

It is considering the crappy Goodyear tires that have a decade old technology.....With a set of Michelin Super Sports, I would expect it to do better 60'.

Seriously tho, I dislike Fords but for the money, that GT500 is tempting.
The view of the rear of the car from the still starting frame of the video you posted above is terrible IMHO. Do you actually like the way it looks?

No runs in my paint and fit and finish is near perfect. Just a little bit of mods to the C7 and bye bye GT. besides... The GT ain't much to look at in MHO.

That is funny, I bet a lot more women own Vette's than GT500's, not that it matters, what the hell is the difference.

Stock vs stock the 13-14 GT500's will give the ZR1 all it can handle...out of the box they're a 11.50 at 125 plus car with no problems.
Im pretty sure you mean Z06?

Especially since you've modded it significantly.
