Almost as bad as asking what's the best oil to use...
I think it comes down to a several models...
V1, Passport Max or 9500ix
No matter what, if you have a cellphone you should run Waze and report all the police you see.

Passport Max.../endthread
Yes it had some issues, but all the new firmware has now made it basically the best detector. Also don't forget your jammers... ALP's or Laser Interceptors.... 2 up front, and 2 in rear.
Yep

IMO Valentine One, hands down.
Youtube Bull races, bubble gum or any of the major cross country race rallies that involve super sports cars, all of their owners use the V1. I've been using that detector for 10 years and with it's patents and programmable features, you can't go wrong.

Escort just announced a new detector at SEMA this year.
But the Valentine 1 is a classic and is upgradeable for a fee post when you buy it. So if you buy it used make sure you guarantee it's the newest hardware/software by the serial number on their website.

Just got Waze going and love it. I use V1 and it has saved me multiple times and amazed my passengers with how much advanced warning it provides.
