Looks like all have the clear roof option. I bought my C6 with the stock roof then bought the clear roof for around 1 k. Here you pay 1k for the clear roof and then I assume you would have to buy the painted top if it becomes available again. I would imagine it would be pricey.

These discounted vehicles are all non-Z51s. Temporary situation because of the constraints, and Kerbeck probably wants to keep them turning.
Z51 will returrn soon, and once they sell down the non Z51 cars the discounts will disappear. But great opportunity if you are OK without Z51.

Yep. Discounts will only grow especially as we enter winter. No one is buying Corvette's in the winter in large parts of the country. And like you said, BG will continue to churn out cars regardless. Expect further discounts to follow, especially in this crap economy. The suckers paid MSRP+, now reality is setting in.

Some on here predicted the discounts were coming. Many said sooner than later.
Is this earlier than many thought ????
Suckers ??? They just made the choices to lose 2K for couple month of early driving.
Now ones to be upset, those that have been sitting in repair lots, torn apart, get it
back and 2K gone. Can see them going, buy the thing back at price and then go pick
up a new one for less

The deals will only continue to get better. There just aren't that many people out there looking to buy a 55k to 75k two seater that can't be used in snow without a different set of wheels and tires. Corvette has a core group of buyers that will initially buy the newest and greatest and have to be the first on the block. This is a small group that is rapidly getting their orders fulfilled. Obviously they aren't moving fast enough at Msrp anymore so the discounting is beginning. For the dealer, there is a lot more profit in a corvette sold for 2-3k below sticker than on the other vehicles that they sell

Dave, you didn't factor in Xmas & summer shutdowns, breakdowns, parts shortages, stat holidays & scheduled Saturdays!

^ Plus the ramp up period when production first began, and the upcoming ramp up period for the 'performance variant model'. During both of these, production moves at a snails pace to start . . .
PS: 137 per day was the last production number I heard reported here by a forum member visiting BG.

Yes, I had earlier predicted this winter - so this is about 1 month early. But perhaps the reason it is early is because of the Z51 issue. Had they been able to produce all of those that people wanted it would have taken until next month to satisfy the early thirst.
