The difference between Z51 and non Z51 is about 61 pounds...And 1lt and 2lt is about 30 pounds...you've got to give team corvette credit for that accomplishment. The tire and mag weight of the Z51 is actually lighter...although being a larger diameter...I bought a 1lt non Z51, but all the Z51 goodies, with no weight penalty,...Is impressive.

I am a big fan of the 1LT.
I also like the look of the Base model better, but the Z51 package for $2,800 MSRP is a very good deal for all its contents.
Right now because the Z51's are selling for close to MSRP and Base models have discounts as much as $3,000 off MSRP, it is in effect a $5,000+ option.

The 1Lt has plenty to offer. All I want is performance exhaust and painted calipers. I will either paint the wheels black or go aftermarket. The car is a big advance over my 2LT C6.

I only buy 1LT cars, IMO anything else is wasting money.

Congratulations on your purchase, OP.

I don't think that anyone on this forum (besides the usual trolls) turns their nose on ANY C7.

This also is my first Corvette, VIN 3824, R8C Halloween delivery, and it is fantastic.

Yeah, I went with everything, since this may also be my last car like this, at least for a while. 3LT Z51...

The car is literally AWSOME!

Enjoy your ride!

The big reason that the car came in so heavy was the emphasis on luxury and gadgets, which for me, is off target. If GM wanted to sell a decontented car at less money, that would be a bonus, but I'd probably also be willing to pay a premium to get the fat out of it.

Or really any Corvette, for that matter.

Does the 1LT have real leather seats or the leatherette ones that crack. Wish the full leather interior was an option for the 1LT. But if I but a C7 after they work out some bugs it will be a 1LT. I always do mods so I like to start without options that I might replace anyway.

car is really nice and most people will never use all the options on the car anyway.

As for me if I ever order a C7 it will be a 1LT and probably a non Z51. It'll run in a straight with any of them and the only thing I'd miss regarding a 2LT and up is the HUD which with the new dash graphics I wouldn't need it.

So far I have done the following:
Added performance exhaust.
Added Z51 spoiler.
Pfadt Tune.
Passport Escort installed under my rear view mirror and hardwired to the battery/fuse box in the rear.
Powder Coated wheels black.
Windows tinted 15%.
Side markers also tinted.
Got the trunk cargo shade.
I have the Curb alert system, but need to find the time to install it.

Ordered the trunk compartment separator.
Ordered the car color license plate frame.
Ordered personalized license plates.
Ordered Pfadt headers, awaiting their arrival.
So what has the tune and exhaust given you? those are normal mods for me too, plus LTH. Thats why I buy base with the non NPP, etc.

Still waiting on the headers, when I get them installed and re-tuned, then I will dyno it and post results.

Although the Z51 package is reasonable, it you never use any of the extra performance, equates just to extra cost. 1LT or 2LT, I went with the 2LT because I wanted all the toys this option includes. I didn't add performance exhaust. I never considered a 1LT inferior. I may modify option packages on the next C7 in a few years. The option package decision was based on not actually having test drove a C7. I will test a Z51 when I can to sample what I'm missing.

1LT with Z51 and exhaust @ $55990 is the way to go with black interior.
I think the all black interior and Bose radio does not look like a base car anymore. Park it next to even a 3LT and most people will not notice the difference . The Bose radio in my C7 sounds way better then the Bose in my 13 CTS coupe.

I looked at a base 1LT along side several other C7s in various performance/interior trim. My impression of the base car is that it is a LOT of car for $51,995. I particularly paid close attention to the interior - the 1LT is nicely optioned and very attractive - I came away with a very positive impression of the 1LT - I am leaning towards that package after having looked at it.

The only thing appearance wise that came across as lacking were the base wheels - they seemed very small in the wheel wells compared to the Z51 cars. That said, I don't really care for any of the upgraded rims anyway and will likely get aftermarket rims.

Here is the 1LT all black interior. Some one said you can order red seats to make it look like the 2LT with red seats.

Yes, 1LT has the choice of Black, Red, or Gray seats. But its just the seats. No red leather on the doors or armrest so it won't look like the red 2LT.

You have been a member of this Forum for less than 30 days and yet you can state that MOST people here think the base 1LT is a cheap piece of crap. Can you please provide a link to other posts that would lead you to make such a statement.

Are the seat real leather or leatherette?
