Default C7 Width?

I have a very small garage, though my C6 fit inside nicely (though snugly).

I've read that the C7 is wider: 73.9 inches as opposed to the 72.6 on my C6.

My question: is the 73.9 inches the maximum width with the mirrors folded in?

Here is some info on C6 vs C7 mirror to mirror tip width versus the car body width that most manufacturers publish. The C6 mirror to mirror tip is 82 5/8 inches vs the C7 that measures 85 inches. I have an 8 foot wide garage door that measures 93 inches molding to molding. As you can see that leaves 4 inches on each side IF you're perpendicular! I have a narrow space in front of the garage so must make a K turn to get close to perpendicular. That leaves less space. It's OK when pulling in but at night pulling out means I must be more careful.
Anticipating the problem I built two devices that help. They are defined on my web site with detailed pics. Check them out at http://netwelding.com/Reports_Vette_Info.htm
I think the simple proximity sensor is the easiest to build and most useful when pulling out. The spot light I added, which goes on with the garage door opener light, make the inexpensive proximity sensor easy to see.
