It is sad all the Nancy-boys want autos. I hope the Z06 is stick-only to spite them! But a 737 TQ rating looks like the geezers get their automatic Z06.
Hilarious thread.

I am waiting for 2015 for other reasons, but I will be very happy if the A8 turns out to be a reality. My current C6 is a manual 6 speed, but I am considering am automatic next. Partly because of age (dammit) and also so the wife can drive the Corvette.
I have an 8 speed auto in an Audi supercharged V6 now, and it is really great. The close ratio shifts are super fast and always in the correct gear. It also has paddles if you want to use it manually.
If Chevrolet can make one as good as the Audi transmission, I think it will be fantastic in the C7.
Also, Road and Track testers like the 8 speed auto better than Audi's 8 speed DCT.

We can only believe at this point GM will produce their 8 speed to convertor automatic to be as good or better for the corvette.
Till then A6 drivers of the stock c7 z51 will have to "settle " for 11.4@120 mph performance....
It will be interesting to see the reveal of the new transmission and I do not believe that any torque converter automatic will go in the c7 z06 although I believe it wold be cool as he'll and be a big seller for GM.
Point and shoot
