I get black dust, it's worse on the front wheels.

I just changed to TRW ceramic now there is less dust and it is lighter in color so it doesn't show on my silver painted wheels.

I think the guys with the black wheels are not seeing loads of dusting because it blends in with the wheel color.

No Z51 option and zero brake dust here.

My 2014 Z51 has black wheels and with the OEM brake pads lots of brake dust and very visible. I was having to clean the wheels after two trips into town (~40 miles in total.)
With the Carbotech 1521 ceramic street pads I estimate 80% less dust! I installed mine ~8 months ago. They stop even better when cold and the same as the OEM pads when hot. No noise. Now I'm cleaning wheels when I clean the car.

My 2015 Z51 coupe has the new machine face wheels that are black on the sides of the spokes and also the barrel is black, and the brake dust prior to the changeover to Carbotech pads was terrible. Brake dust isn't black but more gray so it shows up on black wheels.

I have a Z51 with black wheels and I would call the brake dust horrible. If I drive the car anywhere the wheels have a brown tint to them.

The brake dust on the black wheels is extremely noticeable even after a short drive. Replaced them with the 1521's and couldn't be happier.

Rhetorical question. What Corvette owner, who would switch to ceramic brakes , wouldn't know the the condition of his/ her brake pads long before the little warning tabs worked?

I too bought a set of 1521's after reading here about the positive results with near zero brake dust...best purchase yet...other than my C7 Z51.
A great investment with less headaches.. keeping your wheels clean!

I have the factory chrome wheels on my '15 Z51 and find that they are very easy to keep clean with just a quick wipe with a slightly damp cloth after my drives. And, they really don't show the dust that much before being cleaned. Now my wife's Camaro SS with black Foose Legend wheels is a whole different story. Never black wheels for us again.

after a long drive, I just stick a rag through
the spokes and do a quick wipe (takes 30 seconds maybe
per wheel) wheels look brand new,

The dust is more dark brown than black when you see it on a dark surface.

On my light color wheels, it looks black in color

Just wipe the black wheels down with detail spray after every couple of drives does not take much effort!

David, you know I love you....but a couple of drives for you might add up to 10 miles!! A couple of drives for me could easily be 100 miles! Lots more brake dust!!

Remember...I love you!

Compared to all my previous disc brake cars and five vettes these standard brakes on the base car are the best match of pad and rotor I have ever seen. I went From the 12GS to the base C7 I do not feel I gave up anything and it is so much cleaner with very little brake dust. This is a great improvement and makes for better driving experience!

I think the Z51 brake pads are much worse.
