It really does look similar to my Pewter 99 which was a great color. It'd pop in the sun, not show dirt and shined up great and cut thru the air like a rocket!!

black hood stripe on the new grey is a natural--very nice. anyone know if thats standard, also all the other hood stripes on the pics of the Z06? any '14 owners get the hood stripe on their cyber grey? like?

Nice work GM-went from a gorgeous cyber grey to basically Battleship grey with a shine.

So why would GM reveal the 2015 Z06 in two new colors, but only actually reveal one of the two new colors and not both if the yellow they used for the reveal isn't the yellow they are going to actually use.

I'm liking the new gray. I like cyber gray, and thought that would be my color of choice on the C7, but after seeing it in person at the Javits center, I changed my mind. IMHO, cyber gray is way to subdued for this car. This car needs something that pops a bit more. It was kind of boring to me. This new gray just may bring it to life a bit, but I have to see it in person.

I kind of reminds me of my 1972 “Steel Cities Grey”! I have always wondered why they never offered that color in newer models.

This was the reason I went with VY on my C7. I had it on my C6 but I only had the car 8 months before I traded it in. VY was/is a great color but it was nearing it's run. After Millennium Yellow was tossed out VY took it's place. I just hope the new yellow will be every good as the old one or better. I don't care about what name they call it, just hope it pops well...

Me too! It's interesting that while at the 2013 New York Auto show I was taken by the "Lemonade" color on the 2014 Chevy Spark. Very similar to that used back when on the 1966 C2s.



Also interesting that while talking to K. Bennion back in 2006/7/? at Corvette at Carlisle I suggested how great a color that C2 Yellow would be on a C6. His response was "it won't happen". I should have extended that question to future C7s. We shall see, but it won't be called Lemonade.

Velocity yellow is the perfect yellow. How the hell are they gonna do better? I'm afraid to see as my new Z06 was gonna be V.Yellow.
