Default Forward camera activation

When I am parking my C7, I have to shift into reverse and then back into drive for the forward camera to show on the screen. Is there a way to activate the camera without doing that?

Press the camera icon on the infotainment screen.

It might be on another screen. Hit the arrow on right side of screen to move.

I think you're supposed to be able to reorder your icons like on your phone...haven't messed with that yet though.

Yes you can. Press and hold till the icon kinda flashes then slide it where you want it. Takes some practice to move it to a different screen.

Wow...this thread proved to be very informative. I didn't know you could do either of those. Thanks all!

It also should be one of you "Quick Links" when you are on the "Radio" "Phone" "Nav" screen. You will see options at the top of the screen with a picture respective to their functions. One of the quick links should look like a camera. That should also activate your front facing cameras when in drive.

Yup, got it there. I tried reordering my HOME screen so it's on the first page there as well, but have yet to succeed at that.

Moving from one screen to the other is unnecessarily difficult. Keep your finger near the edge and it should do it.

Me? I'm usually always in Android Auto, which doesn't present me with the Camera icon. I usually do a little reverse so that when I go forward the front camera goes on. If it's just straight into the parking spot though I hit the home key to get back to MyLink then my Camera icon is right there.
