Interesting however..this is the 2nd car I've seen rolling off the line with no center caps on the base Z51 wheels. Does that mean the base wheels don't have center caps at all or they simply haven't been popped in yet?

I believe the center caps are left off on purpose. Put on when delivered, museum or the dealer. Don't want any theft or damage.
