Very cool engineering on this. Looks like the Gatorglass that use to run around 3k for something like this. Great job!

Nice idea but $1200, are they licensed? What about the mirror side, that is where the indicator needs to be. I assume blue or red leds would be illegal

Yes, the only legal colors would be amber and white. The indicator only needs to be visible from the rear on Euro cars. It is not required in the US.

The custom mirrors can look very tasteful if you choose the right lighting.

A plain light smoothly integrated into the mirror should flash in amber with the turn signals

But the mirrors with "Stingray" illuminated look best wired to stay on with the tail / park lights, in a cool bluish white but not too bright.

It's not bad. If you have done any basic automotive wiring you can easily handle the install.
