Default Any news on entry level, low cost corvette coupe?

There was a rumor going on around about the entry level corvette; low cost corvette less than 50K which was thought to be called corvette coupe rather than stingray?. Does anybody know anything about it?

The stingray is the entry level model and I can assure you GM never goes backwards within a series.

They said the C5 FRC was going to be an entry level coupe and that never happened. There's really no way to make the Corvette less expensive. The C7 is already a value at the base of $51k and GM has little difficulty selling all they can build.

I sure hope not. It would cheapen the brand

Wait a few years and buy a used one. That's true entry level strategy!

Great album by the way!!

OP,
Don't hold your breath. I think we have already seen the bottom dollar base model.

It was the entry level Corvette and then it transitioned over into the Z06.

I doubt they (GM) would go that route again.

A base C7 at less than $50,000 would require a discount but that's not unusual for new Corvettes.

A Solstice with a 4.0 V8 engine might be popular. For instance, the Lincoln LS had a 3.9 V8.
