No reason why it won't just bolt on. Boost might be a littler higher than what you would want with the stock cast pistons though. Kiss your powertrain warranty goodbye.
Personally I would wait for Edelbrock to release their supercharger. It will be turnkey and will most like be cheaper than buying all the components you will need in addition to the supercharger itself from GM, to install their 1.7L supercharger on your LT1.
