The same thing was said about the C2, C3, C4, C5, C6, and will be said about the C8!

Correct flyj! The technical aspect is not even comparable but from a design standpoint and even performance the mid 60 cars are the $hit. Think about how timeless they are, I don't ever seeing any other generation having that allure.

For the past 50 years the Corvette has been capable of world class performance. For the past 20 years the Corvette has been capable of world class handling. Only for the past year has the Corvette been equipped with a world class interior & technology.
The point is there are no strings attached to the 2014. There are no regrets. There are no needs for upgrades or apologies. The car as is, out the box, off the dealer showroom floor is a world class car. And yes.. this is the first time in the history of the Vette that can honestly be said.

Best Corvettes
I think, and perhaps many of us can agree, that the C7 is the best looking Corvette since 1967 and truly worthy of the Stingray name.

And that assessment shows up at auction time!!! Those cars are fetching top dollar!!! While I love the convertibles, the split window brings me to my knees every time I see one!!!...even if it is just a picture!

"Best" can have many meanings.
The best Corvette to me is a '63 - '67 C2 Convertible.
If I won the lottery tomorrow I'd go out and by one that was fully restored and in show condition.

And when the C6 was released it also was the best Corvette ever. Ditto for the C5 and the C4 and the C3 and the C2. When the C8 is released, it will also be proclaimed the best Corvette ever.

That's true for us old farts that have seen each generation released, but the newbies with their first Corvette only see what has happened over the past couple of years.
