Default Plant tours cancelled

Just received word from the Museum that all plant tours for the week of Match 17-021 have been cancelled, including those associated with Museum Delivery, This is apparently in addition to closure next week. What a bummer

Bummer--well that is my TPW week, so I hope they don't screw things up while building those new Z06's

Sorry for everybody who's going to miss the plant tour, but it's good news for me that they're building lots of Z06 convertibles already. That means I get mine sooner!

That doesn't happen until August unless possible they're putting together a few pre-production ones during the closed days.

Not sure exactly what is going on behind closed doors but my message from the Museum stated "During the week of March 17th, future product is scheduled to be on-line at the Plant. This is product that has not been introduced to the public yet. With this being said, GM has suspended all tours of the Bowling Green facility." Z06, 2015 etc. ??

They gotta get those Z06 mules produced sometime. Don't know how many they will make, but closing the plant for a week or 2 makes sense. I hope this plant opens the following week - I'm scheduled for a tour then...

If you're going strictly to do the museum visit and the plant tour, then you need to reschedule your trip, as the plant will not be open for tours on march 21.

I suspect they need to build that "future product" to be displayed at this years NCM Bash toward the end of April, 2014.

My TPW got bumped from 3/17 to 3/24. This might explain it.

Hmmmmm

They'll probably have superchargers laying around after they've made a few Z06's

Maybe I could talk em into sneaking one under my hood - it's only fair - making me wait an extra week.

Did we ever find out where the plant workers have a beer after work?

I just received word also - I was scheduled for March 19th. Its so disappointed. While I realize they can't promise the date, its still tuff to accept. I live 700 miles away so its not that easy to just go later. Once the date is etched in stone - MARCH 19TH - DOES ANYONE know if the date can be changed. I have a call in now but got a recording.

thanks - disappointed.
