Questions related to interior materials: (1LT vs. 2LT) - YES, I SEARCHED:)
Ok folks. Before anyone asks, yes I searched the Forum, GM Site, and Google I know what the cited differences are between the 1LT and 2LT trims; and what additional amenities are included with the 2LT. The seating surfaces appear to be covered in Mulan leather for both trims.
My question is, besides the color of the center console and armrests in the door panels matching the seat color for the 2LT; are there ANY OTHER differences in interior materials/quality/padding/stitching/workmanship? For instance, are the door panels, seats, trim, pillars, and entire dashboard made out of the same exact material for both the 1LT and 2LT trims?

The one thing I am not sure of is if the 1LT seat is perforated to let air through like 2LT or if it is smooth with lack of heated/ventilated seats it wouldn't be necessary.

Besides the color I think 2LT has a little emblem in the seat. If memory serves the interiors are basically the same otherwise (besides the extra stuff you get with 1LT). I'd say the toughest color to go 2LT with is black as they look very very similar.

When I was at the dealer yesterday the salesman pointed out that the 2LT had stitching around the dash upper area...the 1LT does not. I consider this a very significant difference....ties the whole leather area as a unit.

Hmmm.. I was under the impression that ONLY the 3LT has leather in the dash??

Do you care at all about the other amenities, such as set/mirror memories, auto dimming and heated mirrors, heated and ventilated seats, etc etc?

Hi Ken, no, not really...BUT, if the 2LT DOES include a nicer interior with leather in other locations and an overall superior appearance/feel; then it may sway my decision-making process. Amenity-wise, the only thing that I really like about the 2LT are the cooled seats.

Correct it is not leather.

So the 2LT has vinyl or faux leather dash and the 3 LT is real leather ok..

Weird though, because that the material of the 2LT dash and door panels in that video LOOK like grainy leather (like the previous door panels and dash of the 4LT in the C6's). At first, I thought that the person mislabeled a 3LT for a 2LT in the video, but if it were a 3LT, the dash would also be red; as the 3LT dash colors match the seat colors as well.

As the doors on the 2LT are not leather and instead the same material used on the dash (faux leather or vinyl, I have no idea which), my educated guess it's the same for 1LT or 2LT

It looks the same..,.it should be! that's how you get a uniform appearance. like I said, it's additional stitching on the 2LT; and it may/will be in a contrasting color. like red stitching on black material.
So, it does look way better...more custom...you are getting something for your money!
