New friends, an old friend, and Coughlin Corvette...plus tons of C7 eye candy!
I had a great time in Columbus Friday night/Saturday morning! Spent the evening with Mark and Karen Thomas in Columbus...and what a treat that was! It's people like Mark and Karen who make the Corvette family so special. It was the first time we had met in person, but it was like we had known each other for a long, long time.
I had driven down to Columbus after picking up my brand new 2013 NRB Grand Sport convertible at Les Standford Chevrolet in Dearborn, Michigan, and was to pick up a great friend, Kirby Montgomery, from Richmond, Virginia, on Saturday morning at the Columbus airport to take him to Coughlin Chevrolet so he could pick up his brand new TR Stingray. I was blown away by all of the amazing C7s there, but even more impressed by the warm reception and conversation with Rick Conti, whom I was meeting for the first time.
Needless to say, it was an incredible weekend! Hope you enjoy the eye candy (the cars, anyway...)!

Right on, glad someone finally posted all about the real Rick ! He is someone everyone should meet. If you are in the market for a Corvette, he is the one to contact for a pleasant, no hassle experience. What an inventory !!

I was at Coughlin on Saturday to pick up my baby too, also torch red. In fact, I think that's her in the 6th picture! This was my first vette purchase - a 40th birthday present to myself. Having never driven a vette before (much less a C7), I was smiling and marveling over the car on the entire drive home to Virginia.
It was a pleasure meeting you guys and I have to add my kudos to Rick Conti. His enthusiasm and professionalism made it a fantastic and memorable experience. I can't wait to buy my next vette from him!

And some have seen the other pics I've posted, but I also still have my 1994 competition yellow vert and 1973 dark blue coupe. Life is good!

It's because they are one of the largest Corvette dealers in the country. Four were being picked up just that morning. I don't know how many were there, but less than 30 had yet to be sold. My friend in Columbus said that this was nothing and you should have seen the lot when they had an inventory of 150 C6s.
