Default Scheduled NCM delivery for 4/17...Now, will my curb be a problem

Scheduled NCM delivery today for 4/17. Picking up an Arctic White Z51 coupe, 7 sp, black wheels, NPP, NAV, black mirrors and spoiler, mag ride, 1LT.

Only real question I have left is will the curb in front of my driveway be a problem. Our development is still under construction, so without the final paving, the jump up to where the curb begins to slope is a few inches, and then the curb is a little steep itself. Hopefully these pictures upload correctly. Curious what you guys think.

Thanks.

You will have no problem with that curb. There is more clearance than you think. I drive in and out of parking lots with much greater dip than you have.

I don't think you will have a problem. Entering at an angle also helps.

I agree with STVaughn. I think you should be fine. I'd have someone spot you going up the first time, but I suspect if you go up and down slowly you'll be fine. The first thing that you will hear strike is the black plastic skirts in front of both tires. Those will hit before the nose will, best of luck.

My Z-51 doesn't have center air dam like my C6 so it scrapes far less often. An unexpected and welcome benefit of the C7. I think you'll be fine.

Be prepared to get some flat tires from picking up nails as they finish your community...Don't ask me how I know.

Compared to my 2012 C6 GS, driving the C7 is like driving an SUV as far as clearance is concerned. Not only driveways like yours, but also no trouble in parking lots with those concrete bumpers etc. My driveway is worse than yours and the C7 hardly scrapes whereas the C6 would scrape loud enough that neighbors would look over and runners/walkers passing by would jump.

I've found that backing it in rather than pulling it helps. And others said try pulling in at an angle.
The splitter is very flexible (although we hate those scrape marks....)

Like others have said, you shouldn't have a problem. The front/side air dam is actually rubber and you may hear it scrape on extreme situations but usually w/o harm. Mine has several times and you can't tell it. If you use a driveway where it rubs consistently, try backing in or going in from a different angle. If I back 'out' of mine it usually rubs. If I pull straight out as is usual, it never touches.

I've noticed that too! I have a decent incline on my driveway that I used to always scrape backing out (but never pulling in), and my C7 does not.

As the OP mentioned, his subdivision is still under construction. I suspect the asphalt "ramp" is temporary until they do the final Asphalt skim coat (after all the heavy trucks have come and gone) on the road which will even up to or slightly exceed the concrete curb...

I second that. If you don't have tire insurance get it. Roofing nails in a community under construction are a nightmare!

+1

My C6 GS and base C6 both scraped my driveway in and out, the GS used to scare people. The C7 I havent scraped on my driveway or all the other usual scraping parking lot entrances/exits yet and the lower air dam looks like new after a month and 1200 miles. Looks like the fascia will even clear lower parking curbs in case you have an 'oops I shouldnt have pulled in that far' moment. The GS was not so forgiving
