Default MacMulkin Comes Through Again

Today was the big day (3-29) - picked up my NRB C7 from Tommy at MacMulkin.
I have to say from day 1 (when I was just shopping - it was a custom order), Tommy and his group have been a first class operation - he delivered as promised (I don't hold the GM ship-by-rail delay against him).
So this morning it was up at 5:30 am; I hopped on the LIRR at 6 am to the AirTrain to NY's JFK Airport and flew JetBlue's 8 am flight up to Boston-Logan, where MacMulkin's courtesy driver picked me up at 9 am and drove me the 40 miles to the dealership; went through all the prepared paperwork in 10 minutes (all done in advance, including financing) and then they spent 30 minutes going over every feature on the C7 and then removing all the coverings; and then I left at 10:45 and drove the 246 miles home to Long Island - total time 8 hrs 40 minutes door to door.
The car was outside waiting, fueled and absolutely spotless - it was one of 9 C7's they were delivering today.
They young guy in the last photo (Jessy) is Tommy's newest Corvette specialist, and he really knows the C7 - he went over the car with me, setting up my phones, music, preferences in addition to the usual stuff.
I know it is not a Z51 (for those who still insist it is the only version to buy), but for me I am very happy with my "Base" car - it rode outstanding, drove like it was on rails and is very comfortable and easy to use; and the NRB was popular with my two teenage daughters.

I really like NRB. Nice job.

Totally irrelevant but it looks like there is no tire dressing on the tires-never saw a new car delivered w/o some kind of tire dressing on the tires.

Congratulations, another beautiful C7 on the forum.

Mine was the 1st C7 he delivered...9/27/13. I took the long way back to NY, put 500 miles instead of the 250mile trip home.

I ordered mine from MacMulkin after another dealer couldn't come through on their allocation. I found MacMulkin to be a first rate operation. Just waiting for my vert to show up (2LT Z51, LB, Kalahari interior and top, magnetic shocks, 6 speed automatic, nav system)

Congrats!

My experience has been equally good with them so far. Hope I can take delivery in the next week or so and it goes as smoothly.

And I too hope to take the long way home through Vermont on the country roads.

LIStingray,
That is a beautiful car, love the NRB color. Mine is Cyber Grey, but it was a tough choice, I also really like the LRG.

I think someone else said, you can't go wrong with any of the C7 colors.

Enjoy your new ride.

If you think MacMulkin comes through in selling the C7's - you should visit their service department. Scott Fitzgerald's team knows corvettes! They are definetely number 1 in service!

Congrats. As you probably know by now, you don't need the Z51 to have fun. Enjoy.

It has a flat sheen dressing on it - which I actually like a whole lot better than the "wet" look.

I went back and forth on colors - originally I thought I wanted LRG, but when I saw it in person it didn't jump out at my like CG and NRB, both of which I really liked, so I did the family poll, and my two daughters preferred NRB over CG - my wife suggested LB, which isn't really my cup of tea - so NRB it was.
Then there was the back and forth over gray or black interior, and in the end the gray rug was a deal breaker, so it was NRB with the Jet interior. The Jet interior is more of a very dark charcoal as opposed to a true black.

For the other who posted - thank you very much for the compliments and well-wishes.

On a side note, on the way home I stopped at rest stop in CT, and as I was leaving a group of 3 teenage boys with their dad (?) saw the car and they were smiling ear to ear.
