What is the difference in weight-1LT vs. 2LT
I keep on hearing people say they get the 1LT because it is lighter. Anybody know how much weight is actually saved by getting a 1LT as opposed to a 2LT.

Kind of makes you wonder why posters use that as one of the reasons they got a 1LT.

It depends on what you are using the car for. If you are planning to use it primarily
for some sort of organized competition (autocross, time trials, etc), timing is to .001 seconds and even 10 pounds might matter. I am inclined to think it would be more than that, but if you're just going to use it as a road car, then you'd have to be extremely sensitive to notice the difference.

In normal day to day use it's like 350 lbs when you consider that people who need seat coolers are fat.

For what it's worth:
1LT, M7, Z51, 3/4 tank, no NPP, no MRC = 3362
2LT, A6, Z51, 3/4 tank =......................... 3378
3LT, M7, Z51, 3/8 tank =.........................3389

This is a valid question. In the racing world, people who track their cars, this stuff matters. I have not seen the manufacturer's published data on this, but have seen data before on other makes of cars for the weights on trim levels and options.
Anyone run across this yet?

Chevy actually states, "1LT is for those wanting the lightest version of the Stingray."
Not sure if it is because of a significant difference of because they don't want to alienate the poor people.

The problem with the scaled weights shown is the 3/4 tank of gas leaves guessing room.
Mine 1lt Z51 with comp seats was 3350 full of fuel.

Someone who tracks their car to a point where 10lbs makes a difference is going to have other mods to lighten up the car. Seriously does anyone really car about 10lbs for a dd or a weekend cruiser. Jeez!!

For the 1LT instead of the 2LT you've also got to add in the weight of the extra $4210 in your wallet.
For a track car probably none of the 2LT goodies would be useful. In fact a "0LT" model with cloth, non-power seats, no aircon, etc., etc would be ideal--sort of along the lines of the new Z28 Camaro.

If you think about it, the 1LT has almost everything the C6 2LT had in it, and same with the 2LT compared to the 3LT. The C7 1LT is a major improvement over the C6 1LT any way you slice it.
