Default Just a suggestion to C7 Stingray owners: Stop cheapening the car.

Again, as the thread title says, this is only a suggestion and obviously people can do what they want with their cars. That said, I'm having a hard time understanding why so many people are putting stickers and all kinds of other tacky crap on their Stingray.

IMO, it cheapens the car terribly and gives the Corvette a black eye. This sort of mod is seen on ricers and cheap looking cars. This car does not need stickers or emblems to distinguish itself from the pack. The car speaks for itself and there is nothing on the road remotely like it.

Just remember, we are all part of a club, so to speak. Please take that into account when you're doing something hideous to it.

I wouldn't add a mod to mine that didn't at least look stock(ish), but I don't really see how it would cheapen the corvette name.

Hmmm,
Been a member for all of 9 days and you feel you can lecture people on what they do to their cars?

Let me help you out a little newbie....Mind your own business and get off your high horse. You are in not the keeper of the "Corvette" name.

lol.....you will make friends QUICK around here

Here is a suggestion for your next thread...tell people how they must look personally to drive a vette...then you can tell them how they are allowed to think about their cars.

...oh, and what's your take on the color our cars should be?

I have completed 21 mods if you were not a Corvette Guy you would not have a clue that the car was not stock. Most of us only do mods to enhance the C-7,make that all of us.R

Let me guess, you're the type that thinks people are not entitled to an opinion. Don't like mine, I couldn't care less..

Irony is gushing from this post. You start a thread telling people what optional mods to do (not do), and then when called on it, you say "Hey, back off, I'm entitled to do or say as I want!"

That said, I agree with you -- stickers or badges aren't going anywhere near my car. But, you can put anything you want on yours. I haven't seen any stickers. I know Glen did a decent job with LT1 badging.

I started the thread with an opinion and said people can do what they want to. I just think it cheapens the car.

Hmmm, do big blue fuzzy dice hanging from the passenger side visor count as cheapening? Just curious, please don't ready anything into this query .

Thanks for saving me from myself. I was about to install whitewall tires and curb feelers on my Vette.

Here is the deal. There are several categories of members on the Forum (we know which one you are in):
1. old school.
2. newbie***
3. stock
4. add a few custom items
5. add the kitchen sink
6. tastefull mods
7. garbage mods
8. horse power
9. 1/4 mile
10. track
11. sunday driver
12. daily driver
13. can't get enough H/P

Just thank God that Chevy went to the mat and brought us a rock star C7. This car is envy of the market right now, and I can't wait to pick ,mine up

The day StingrayTR14 starts paying my car payments is the day I will start to take his suggestions as to what or what not I can do to my car.

OK, you win.

I'm sending the underbody Neon Kit and the Spinners back. Can I keep the "Gas, Grass, ***, Nobody Rides Free" License Plate Frame?

BTW - We are all here to offer our opinions and all of us were Newbies at one time. Heck, I guess I'm still a Newbie myself.
Keep those fingers flying. They love fresh meat around here.
