Will I Be Happy?

Will I Be Happy?
I am a long time fan of corvettes. Ever since I was a young teenager, I have lusted after one. On Friday, I ordered my first ever corvette. Now for the problem. After speaking with several local dealerships and even some not so close. I found that getting a Z51 package was going to be next to impossible in ordering the car the exact way I want it, or paying a lot more over MSRP plus shipping. My local dealer is selling me an Artic White 2LT with red interior. My objectives for the car is to be a weekend cruiser, maybe go to a drag strip or two. My question is will I be happy with it or will I be upset that I was't able to get the Z51?

Not if you consider that you will have one.

You ordered through the wrong dealer
There are literally dozens of threads about not ordering through you local has-no-allocations dealer.
Z51 are NOT impossible to get for the better dealers. IN FACT, barring no other constraints, you should have no problem at all getting a Z51 if that's what you want.
Cancel with your local one and order through one the larger forum dealers.

I have a AW/AR Z51 2LT and just love it, only 360 miles on so far, but today had some nice roads to drive on the cornering, etc is just amazing.

If you want to be happy, you will be happy.
If you don't, then you won't.
It's up to you.
Be happy with non-Z51 and spend money on other neat stuff for you car.

If you have your heart set on the Z51 and feel that your are "settling" with an non-Z51, then yes, you will be unhappy. It's all based on what you want - and you seem to want the Z51.
However, you certainly don't have to pay over MSRP (or pay extra transportation) to get a Z51. Contact the large forum dealers, arrange for courtesy delivery with a local dealer.

My advice is to not compromise !
The favorite option on my car is the magnetic shocks.
You can only get that with the z51 pkg
Order what you want from a large dealer it should be 8-9 weeks
Good color choice btw !

What color is your strip dude? I want one in carbon fiber to match the mirrors and spoiler.

The mirrors and the rear spoiler (as well as all of the vents and the lower rear fascia) are painted Carbon Flash Metallic (not carbon fiber). The mirrors/spoiler in Carbon Flash Metallic is an option (RPO TTV) and is only available on Z51 models. The stripes are an available option in Carbon Flash Metallic (RPO DTH) and are available on both Z51 and non-Z51.
You might want to study the Online Order/Reference Guide.

Non z51 was never even a consideration for me. Now that I have 4000 miles on the car I'm very happy to have the adjustability of the suspension. Pluss it has better looking rims.
Kinda sucks that it's way more money now then it was in dec when I placed my order. But I wouldn't do a thing different if I did it again.

If you want a Z51 than yes you will be disappointed that you didn't get what you want but what someone wanted you to buy. Z51s are not impossible to get and I would wait for what I want. JMHO.

Yup it's carbon flash metallic same as the mirrors and spoiler. I like the stripe it breaks up the white nicely.

I just got my AW 2LT Z51 this past Thursday. Took a total of 61 days from order placed to in my driveway in So Cal. I say if you want it then don't compromise and find a dealer that has allocation for Z51 in your area.

Agreed. if you are going to spring for $60+ K get what younwant even if it's $10k more. You are not buying transportation, you are buying something you will enjoy everyday. There are lots of forum dealers that can get you a Z-51 - even off the lot if you arent picky about other options. Get what you want and anguish over the choice of every option - that's part of the process and fun - and get the comp seats!!!!

IMO, the basics: C7 coupe with M7, 1LT, Z51, MSRC, & NPP...that's about $61K MSRP...why compromise ?
It's still a lot of money... G-L with your search !
