Default NY Auto Show Press Day: Z06 Coupe and Convertible (Pic heavy!)

I went to Press Day at the NY Auto Show today...one of the most talked-about cars among the media was the new Z06. It seemed to be very well received. Here are some shots from today:

More to come...I have some video too.

They look great... Do you have interior photos of the Laguna Blue car?

What color is the interior on the Laguna car? Is it the new blue but washed out by the lights? Looks too light for black, but too dark for light grey.

I'm loving those charcoal wheels.... would love to see them on the silver vert with red interior!

Thanks for posting the pics. I'll be there in a few days and I'm looking forward to seeing the ZO6 up close.

Nice looking car, but now I'm glad I didn't wait for the 2015 and opted to pull the trigger on the 2014 stingray. The original is always nicer no matter how many bells & whistles they add to it.

The vert is stunning, and I am guessing with a just under a $100K price for the loaded version.

I love the wheels on these cars. I also love the front splitter and the side rocker panels. I wish GM would have offered those as "options" along with a CD player and that nice racing steering wheel.

Holy cow I normally like side skirts and things of that nature. But man that plastic lip on the front fender how about just making the fender wider ?

To me the c7 z06 doesn't have the wow factor as much between the regular c6 and the z06 did ( in the looks department )

Thanks for Pics!!
I'm not feeling that new Gray. I'm beginning to think I am a color killer. I got my 06 C6 with the DSOM and they killed it now I got Cyber Gray and they killed that one. Imagine if I had picked AW, Silver or Lord Forbid RED!!

I still have my 05 DSOM and will have a lot of trouble parting with it for a C7. Cyber Gray is a classy color and the new gray is not near as good in my opinion. Your lucky you got the cyber gray and quit killing the cool colors.

The C6 Z06 looked cleaner and like a true variation of the C6 base car. The C7 Z06 is extremely busy, and too much like they slapped on an aftermarket body kit. From a pure looks perspective, the base C7 looks better to me. The front splitter doesn't blend in with the rest of the lines. I like the way the Z06 looks overall, but I love the C7.

Here's the aforementioned video:

I think the spoilers and add on pieces are a bit over the top as well. It get's the car too busy in my opinion. The car is already so angular this just seems to look too much like an afterthought. I am also not a fan of the plastic fender extensions.

My guess is the most common add to a C7 non Z06 will be that flat bottom wheel and the front grill.
